The meeting of Brida and Uhtred at the place of death of Ragnar the Elder and their house... Battle, conversation... This, of course, is fine. But Stiorra still decided not to follow the path of her father, although it's not a fact that this will play a plus. Refused to swear, then killed Brida.

For some reason it seems to me that by this act she is just like her father. Brida passed the point of no return a long time ago, and Uhtred succumbed to weakness because he was tired of losing all his loved ones, but Brida's fate was deserved, Stiorra did everything right. There is some parallel in this with the execution of Stiorra's husband. Brida had a chance to live anew and normally, but no, in the end, because of her revenge, her daughter also ruined and destroyed her life completely. But in the situation with the oath, I agree, pride should be appropriate, while being the viceroy, everyone would understand perfectly well that she was the true queen, and Edward did not particularly want to rule York himself.

Stiorra was given a lot of screen time, unlike books.

@denisch: Books for 3 seasons can not be remembered, unfortunately. There is nothing about them anymore, neither in the plot nor in the characters of the characters.

Something from the inserts from the common past of Uhtred and Brida became very sad. Ragnar immediately came to mind (eh, I wanted to review the first seasons

I knew that Uhtred wouldn't be able to, that memories would flood in. It's all very sad, how it all started, how he and Brida were friendly and inseparable, and how it ended in the end. But years have passed, many things have changed, including Brida and Uhtred. Everything happened as it was supposed to happen - Styora turned out to have more determination, and Brida finally found peace.

That seems to be interesting moves this season, but somehow you don't have time to cross and empathize. Previously, everything was somehow deeper, or something, but now it seems like a summary of the idea ((

I never thought that Brida's death would make me cry.
She's moved out with the ends, what's here, what's in the books, in the books even worse.
But when you look from Uhtred's point of view...
it turned out beautifully

I'm not sorry for Brida at all, after what she did over the last season, I just wanted her to die as soon as possible. But it was a pity for Uhtred, how he forgave her a second before her death and that's how it turned out, an endless cycle of deaths and misfortunes in his life:(

And why was Sigtriggr buried in the ground, and not burned on the water? In the Vikings, too, everyone was buried on the water, and Bjorn was built a crypt..and here too. Weren't the Vikings burned?

I like Stiorra, and he thinks correctly and acts decisively. Uhtred is too forgiving, and Brida would have killed his daughter without a second thought. How long has Uhtred been a puppet and a scapegoat for kings, and now he wants his daughter to follow this path. No, she's good, Edward's too smart-ass.

And how interesting did Uhtred explain to his children who Brida was?
"Well, we were in love with each other since childhood, fucked a lot, and then I betrayed her 10 times, in addition I sent her into slavery, well, now she wants to kill me, such a bitch, there's nothing for it
, right?

It seemed to me that it was in this series that they showed that, after all, both children are somewhat similar to Uhtred, only one is too forgiving, and the other is as principled and vindictive as possible. And in Uhtred, all this somehow combined. As a result, he cannot understand any of his children, he wants them to behave the way he wants - again, the problem of fathers and children
