I didn't like the pilot. Corny and pretentious, special effects are cheap nowadays. A professional firefighter falls into a fire trap like a sucker - and stumbles, and a tree falls on him, and he lost his backpack. Naturally, help comes from one of the GG. Another group leads half the city to help put out the fire.... with their bare hands. Once again, it's too pretentious and implausible. I haven't watched anything about firefighters, except for the "Third Shift", but it's more interesting there. Here the plot is calculated in advance. I agree that they can close after the first season, although you can expect anything from CBS - the tops are closed, and all sorts of crap is extended.
