A very intense series. The best of the season so far!
Of course, I thought that not everyone would survive the robbery, but I did not expect that almost everyone would die. Most of all I feel sorry for Nemik.
And the spectacle is incomparable, it's not for nothing that so many people gather to see it.
Not a bad plan in general, but no plan can provide for every little thing. Small delays here and there, incomplete disconnection of communication, a slightly more attentive and meticulous duty officer, all one to one - and the result of a successful one becomes at least doubtful. Most of the squad has been lost, the money has been extracted, but they still need to be taken out somehow, and they will look for the truck very carefully. In general, it was very nervous and very cool.
@Nog: so she could have nailed the communications officer, and the lieutenant didn't make sure that the signalman wasn't down, plus they forced the fat man to load, he just got in the way.
I liked Lieutenant Horn's answer to the phrase about "you will be hanged" and how Cassian, without much hesitation, shot Skin. The theft turned out to be interesting, kept in suspense, and the fact that they devoted one episode to the preparation of a plan, the second implementation is an excellent solution. It's a pity for Nemik, the load fell on him so unsuccessfully. The effects of The Eye are really very beautiful, especially the team was leaving against the background of all this.
In general, the series pleases, the plot and characters are good, the dialogues are also not bad, but there are still 6 episodes ahead. definitely one of the best ZV projects
@kobiii: I liked how the image of Commandant Jayhold directly embodies the description of the empire from the first meeting of Andor and Luten: he is just as fat, arrogant, smug. He can't fasten his belt "because it was stored incorrectly and it shrank", and not because he ate himself. And it is very significant that the Commandant did not even have to shoot - from a combination of stress and physical exertion, he catches a heart attack.
Vella said, "One path. One choice. We win or everyone dies." And they won, but at the cost of so many rebel lives...
@vin: it's a very shitty way to check, after such a "check" you won't be able to sleep, knowing that you have a possible traitor with you who will kill you in your sleep without batting an eye. Cassian got his bearings absolutely right, and he couldn't be trusted any further.
@kobiii: >>Cassian, without much hesitation, shot the Skin It seemed to me that he was afraid to succumb to temptation and decided to simply remove the temptation.
The series are getting more intense. I thought they wouldn't have time to fly away after all. I liked it when Kassian asked what was given to Nemik when he directed him higher.
Everything is fine, but they didn't cut Cassian's hair before they went on the case.. As Seva Novgorodtsev looked in uniform, the first officer he met would burn him down.
I don't remember that I really squeezed my buns from tension on TV shows like here. The second half of the series is generally all on nerves, because for once everything is under the gun. The moment with the flight during this comet fall was incredibly beautiful.
But what about the second season of Mando, when he disguises himself as a stormtrooper at their base and was forced to show his face, the moment couldn't be more intense
If, after five episodes, this series could be compared to the House of the Dragon, at least in the sense that there is a lot of chatter and little action, especially since the third series was with action, then after this series there can be no comparisons. The whole episode is a bank robbery. And it is furnished as well as possible. Plus, there was one of the most beautiful scenes in Star Wars at the end. You have to see that. Since the sixth episode, this series has been really, really coming to me. Then, most likely, there will be a lull again in terms of some activities, but I will watch with much more pleasure.
When the local tribes appeared, it became clear that Val was one of them - all the girls there looked like her. I was waiting for it to be beaten somehow, maybe she's the daughter of an old leader, but apparently the series is not about that. Although considering that Cinta remained on the planet, maybe it will still open when they return for her.
@gkalian: No, no, the stamp is not broken. if someone with a villainous texture, someone enthusiastic, starts describing their bright ideals, then the second one will definitely not live. It's necessary to show how a cynic got into ideas against the background of the heroic (or so) death of an idealist.
The unexpected ending: almost everyone died. I am waiting for the disclosure of the connection between Luten and Val. Well, Andor, the stump is clear, must somehow return to this mix. What about Bugle and Synth? Why did you stay?
@OrangeElephant: I already had to rewind when they were flying away to understand why there weren't five of them, his death is so out of the frame, huh
I think Cassian has a suicide squad superpower, what's in the movie, what's now. The series is great. I thought that everything would go like clockwork, but it wasn't there.
the best episode of the season so far. I feel sorry for Nemik most of all. The graphics in the series are gorgeous, Stellan Skarsgard is shocked as always.
The fucking series. It seems that you understand that they are obliged to pull it off successfully, because what's the point, but you still worry. I don't want to strangle, but the little-known Cassian was filmed better than Obi-Wan. The series are from the same universe, so you can compare forever.
@NatashCHa: most likely, it turned out better precisely because Cassian is little-known, and most of the other characters have never appeared in Star Wars at all. More freedom for screenwriters, more scope for imagination, no need to try to please the fans. As a result - a fresh project that is very interesting to watch.
This Eye is a stunningly beautiful phenomenon, especially the escape shots in it. I'm sorry about the German, I liked him the most out of all this company. But after the phrase "you'll sleep it off when it's over," it became clear that he was not a tenant. So I was waiting for just such an outcome for him((
I feel very sorry for Nemika, I thought she would survive in the end. Indeed, three of the 7 survived. Yeah, not much. I wonder what the trail series will be about. Stellan found out the news from third parties, and how long he waited.
It's so strange to see an unpredictable batch in which you can die even from being hit by a load, while in all other projects the heroes can stand a meter away from the crowd of shooting stormtroopers and not sweat.
Nemik didn't have much screen time, but they managed to reveal the character in such a way that it was a pity for him more than when the main character dies in some films. It seems like nothing special, we often saw such characters in movies, but there is something about him, a very memorable character. Well, not without excellent acting from Alex Lowther.🔥
I agree with many previous commentators, the series is really strong and definitely the best of the season. Although in general I expected the plan to go one place at a time, I also got used to it with Rogue One.
It's a very cool episode, a robbery that's interesting to watch, and yet you really don't expect that not only will the robbery go wrong, it seems like everything was worked out, we saw a very long episode about it ourselves, and in the end, several characters just won't live to see the end.
That's what was missing in Star Wars, at least in the movies. Simple heroes without power reveal other aspects of the world, without deserts, and introduce the inner life of the imperial system.
In my opinion, this is the first time in the universe that an antagonist dies not from a lightsaber strike or a blaster shot, but from a sudden heart attack.
Damn, that's how a person could just test him. Come on, they say, we'll throw everyone, you're a stupid mercenary, for the loot with us. And Cassian took it and shot him on the spot.
@beargeneral: Well, I did, but Cassian didn't fall for it. During the first conflict, Kassian said that he did not want to expect a blow from behind. Fuck such testers
If something can go wrong, it's bound to go wrong. The harsh everyday life of the resistance: almost the entire squad was killed, but in the end the plan was fulfilled. Such a cool episode, all on my nerves, I forgot to breathe the second half of the episode.
Starfall 12/10. Oh, of course, you have to watch this on a huge screen in a movie theater to get the maximum catharsis.
The fighters have been ridiculously leaked. The transporter passed, but the small nimble fighters could not. They could at least justify this by the presence of a force field on transport, but they simply did not explain it in any way.
@MoldonDS: they calculated the trajectory in advance, this was explained at the planning stage in the fourth episode. The fighters were not ready for this.
@MoldonDS: it's okay to watch the previous episode not with your eyes, but in a different place, but not to notice that they were calculating the route right during the chase with an ancient fuck in the hands of a dying German - you just have to be very careful. Or smart.
@Lala_B: on the contrary, I take a break from them on this piece. As they said in the podcast "Burning Tanker": it turned out that in order to make a good TV series about animals, you need to remove everything boring from it.
@_CHASER_: Yes, in Mandolorets, everything is usually sorted out in a 25-minute episode, but here it takes two and a half hours, the first three episodes and the last. It is clear that the spirit and tempo are different, and the target audience is different. With children of preschool or elementary school age, this is definitely not worth watching, they will wander off to other, more interesting things. It's a pity, there are very few family TV series now. And, yes, Obi Wan was not interesting even to them, although Bob Fet's Book, especially the second half, attracted them as well as the Mandolorian.
@dr_fenix: It was quite obvious what would become of the pursuers. From the first frame. Zero fantasy, just a copy paste from the trilogy. We could have made a little effort, because the conditions are completely different - the fleeing ship is very slow and weak, the pilot is also not a hero of the galaxy.
And then it suddenly occurred to me, this is OO. "Are these all the survivors?" One-on-one with the story of the tower bombing. Only the accents are different.
@Ytzin: by the way, to the question of how well (although it may be simple) It's psychological: I didn't believe for a second in the story about my brother when I watched it for the first time, but seriously, "if you drink with thieves, fear for your wallet." This is certainly stronger than any references.
What a burden, what a horror! - Shamans sing - Ship it quickly! Get moving! - Shamans sing - Ship it quickly! Get moving! - Shamans sing - Ship it quickly! Get moving! And so on for ten minutes. Not to mention the fact that the whole season could fit into a couple of episodes without losses.
Escape through the meteor shower or the Eye was just very beautiful! Well, the fact that Andor dropped the Skin without hesitation, it's a real whack! It's a pity, Nemika, he was a great guy.

And if he just wanted to check Cassian's honesty?))
It seemed to me that he was afraid to succumb to temptation and decided to simply remove the temptation.
No plan, no matter how good, can withstand a direct collision with reality.

and the fact that two black characters died, what is it called then?)
The joke has really been rotten for 10 years now
