s01e03 — "Hanging Balloon"

It's a really creepy story, it's good that the whole episode was highlighted

Something about this story, unlike the previous ones, really scared me so that I could hardly sleep later))) Those crazy eyes of inflatable heads...

I haven't read Junzdi Ito before, I've only seen excerpts from The Spiral (they even suddenly sell coloring books on it, I came across it in a bookstore in Thailand), I'm getting to know myself fully for the first time in this series.
And suddenly his stories remind me of our typical Soviet horror stories from pioneer camps, about a coffin on wheels, etc. Not in the bad sense that ridiculous horror stories, but just in the sense that our horror stories also always have some kind of inevitable horror, a hopeless end and the absolute inexplicability of what is happening, and it scares you more than Classic zombies/monsters that can be shot or blown up, like in American horror movies. Apparently, in this our horrors are closer to the eastern than to the western ones.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Terumi in an outfit with a hat has already, like, managed to show a glimpse in one of the past novels. In my opinion, just as part of a news story or an interview in the background. I hope that there will be more moments showing that the action of the plots takes place in the same world.
I agree with the commentator above about children's horror stories. It was this episode that reminded me of a casket on wheels and others like it. The best series so far.

One of the best stories of Junji Ito, but there is too little horror in this adaptation : (The drawing reminded of True sadness/Paprika is more than a series of Ito. Especially in the faces of the balls that have already been hung, there is very little of the "death" that can be seen in the manga. But in the beginning, when Terumi's body was shown, the details were in place 👍🏻

In the manga, this story felt creepy, but here at the level of "attack of killer tomatoes". Well, at least I had a laugh from the 3D cringe

Probably the stupidest Ito horror story I've ever read. So far, the choice of stories for the film adaptation is depressing. It would be better to choose a comic about creepy stand-up girls, at least you can laugh there)

It's a really exciting story, unexpected and catchy.
