Well, the comparison with the book on which it was filmed is well begging (the series was filmed according to the first of the 3 if anything). And everything seems to be fine and it turned out to be a good film adaptation, but I personally got tired of these constant flashbacks. Especially considering that towards the end of the series, they still shot frame-by-frame and showed the whole plot from the beginning of the book. Everything went in order in the book, well, except for the cultural revolution, maybe. But come on, the details are as they say. I liked the combined graphics for the game and the series, when I read it, I was curious how it could be filmed - I was not disappointed. But, best of all, they were able to show the whole message and the whole intrigue of the upcoming event to a person unfamiliar with the book version. They explained on their fingers what is there and how and where everything is moving. However, they talked too MUCH about the dark forest for me, especially at the end of the season. The book talked about the exponential growth of Earth's technology and immediately began to talk about the picture as a whole. Those who have not read the problems may not understand, but this revelation is literally the core of the entire second book, and they have already spoilt it in advance. At least that's what it seemed to me.

As I understand it, the second season (or rather the second book) has been released (or rather they are still releasing) like the San Ti animated series, look here and you'll find it. There, the action begins with the scene of the cutting of the ship.

According to information from Chinese websites, it is not worth waiting for the second season before 2025...

The scene is short, implicit, and it may just seem incomprehensible how the frame got there. But for those who are familiar with the source code, this scene may evoke an association with one of the characters in the next book of the trilogy. I don't really like cliffhangers, which are now often too explicit and unambiguous, but this one is great.
And I was satisfied with everything else. Although it is worth admitting, expectations were low due to the fact that I am not familiar with modern Chinese cinema. So the impression is much higher than expected. Except that listening to Chinese and reading English turned out to be hard, especially with so much science fiction vocabulary and beautiful shots.

In general, when copying many elements of Western filmmaking, and sometimes plagiarism, like a touch of altered music from the "World of the Wild West", the Chinese got something of their own, which is different from what I have already managed to get used to. Although it turned out to be delayed and half of the timekeeping can be safely cut, I liked how the viewer is introduced to the fundamental structure of our world. A purely materialistic approach, which was popular in Soviet literature and which is now almost not used, and then they wonder why so many people believe in a flat earth. The original is philosophical and the series was able to convey this spirit, let's see how Netflix will cope with this.

The Chinese are great, of course. How to film one of the most famous Chinese books? Yes, we'll just grab a page-by-page retelling of thirty forty-minute episodes, what are we weak? Not that I'm a fan of this approach - in this case, the series is saved by the fact that the book itself is written in such a way that it disposes to this. Honestly, I rewound it in places. At least a third of the timekeeping can be cut, or even half.
They were tired of memories, despite the fact that they were still shoved into the very end for some reason. That is, I understand why, but there is no intrigue there anymore, everyone already knows - yes, I sent it.

I don't remember how I reacted to this when reading, it seems that questions also arose. But according to the series, you constantly catch cognitive dissonance: the level of development of trisolarians is beyond the limit, despite the fact that they were destroyed two hundred times at the root. Question one: What has humanity been doing all this time, with unlimited resources? The second question is: they don't live so badly there, apparently. Question three: couldn't they have figured out how to solve their problems somehow? Generation ships, at least, are simpler and preferable to their system, which has already been torn in two there (in this place I especially always laugh when this series is recorded in solid Sci-Fi, as well as from the entire described star system). But even this is not the main thing. Why did they need our coordinates? With their awesome technology, they couldn't see a planet in the habitable zone near the nearest star four light-years away? Seriously? This is the level of our modern technology.
The text is still perceived in many ways as a play and a parable, but on the screen it's all quite a circus with horses. It's good that they didn't shoot any further, the author was already completely carried away in fantasy.

So what about the counter in Wang Miao's eyes? Why was he there? Just to scare you? Is it over?

Now it remains to wait for the American version of "Three Bodies" from Netflix.

Буду читать книги, хотя, обычно или смотрю или читаю, но это другой случай. Понравилось, что всё подробно, так и должно быть в подобных проектах. Netflix точно смотреть не буду, что там можно показать в восьми сериях, да ещё и с одним китайцем, когда все главные герои китайцы.

Наверно лучший сериал, который я видела за последнее время. Трилогия книг сама по себе тоже очень зашла. Жду теперь продолжения сериала, главное, чтобы не испортили в последствии.

По-моему они чересчур напихали экологии. В книге этого было несколько меньше на мой взгляд. Мотивацию Е Вен Дзе упомянули как-то вскользь. Короче, довольно затянуто.
Следователя сделали каким-то недоумком, хотя, если я правильно помню книгу, он был довольно суров и умён. Про его помощницу вундеркинда не припомню ничего в книге.

М-да. Как человеку, с книгами данного автора не знакомому, мне не зашло. Чем кончилось? Ожиданием вторжения? Очень медленное повествование, досматривал уже через силу, чтобы хотя бы узнать, для чего вся эта тягомотина была. Ощущение, что создатели сериала просто пёрнули в воду. "Вторжение" и то поинтереснее будет, хотя он то ещё гумно.

вот интересно, стоят они в этом саранчовом полюшке, и ни разу никто не отряхнулся. а вот мне когда была в подобном поле, там нашествие кузнечиков как раз было, постоянно в морду долбились и в волосах застревали, ни минуты спокойно не смогла постоять.)))

вообще, насколько я помню - и это уже отсылки к Тёмному Лесу - трисоляриане действовали на развитие Земли методом пряника и кнута, что сначала дали порадоваться технологическим прорывам и общему благосостоянию населения, затем поняли, что влияние идёт обоюдное, и только потом пошёл треш, тревога людей и полные блокировки отдельных исследований.

общее впечатление порадовало, что авангард китайской фантастики так быстро-чётко вывели на экраны и что этим произведением займётся ещё и Нетфликс, т.е. даже если на просмотр пойдёт поток нечитавших, то какая-то их часть покопает первоисточники и засядет за книги.

Я не читала книги. Сериал мне в целом понравился, думаю возьмусь почитать вторую часть трилогии, как советовали выше.
Я поняла что сериал очень подробно описывает действия в книге, и иногда смотреть было скучновато. Но все равно я осталась довольна. Сюжет 🔥
Понравилось наблюдать за актерской игрой, так как раньше почти не смотрела азиатских сериалов, а тут все совсем по-другому. Другая культура, отношение друг другу, как они общаются, касаются, курят))
Интересно, что теперь ждать от Netflix.

The Netflix version has been released. I wish I hadn't come out.

I really liked the series based on the series of books "In Memory of the Earth's Past" by Liu Qixin. It captures an amazing sci-fi world and mysterious plot twists. I'm looking forward to the sequel and plan to dive into the books to better understand the meaning of the series.

It's a good addition to the rest of the series, but without knowing the plot, it would be boring to watch. Everything is developing very slowly, in places the cap is just too long. They also sometimes repeat already known facts in a circle.
If the cartoon hadn't piqued interest, I don't know if I would have had enough patience.

As usual, there are inconsistencies.
- Miraculously, all the cosmic signals were received in a single place on the planet, by a single woman. Although it is explicitly stated that the whole world listens to all bands and is even cooler than China.
- Why try to destroy science first, and then try to collect the best minds to complete the game.
- Why was the game needed if the fleet had already departed and the planet did not need to be saved in principle. The whole game is a retrospective, in fact, no task was set or solved. If the other race is more advanced, why couldn't they calculate the trajectory of their planet themselves. Calculating a galactic flight in 400 years means normal, and it's difficult.

Well, okay, there's also the struggle of factions with different goals, you can draw that all these plans are not connected. Although the main aunt knew about all these plans, she didn't actually do anything at all.

- All this magic with the spoiling of experiments. The number of safons is only 2. To display 1 timer in the eye, you need 100% employment of one safon. The number of such timers is not known.
And they also spy on the whole planet and hack systems and are responsible for communication. They obviously work without a social package. It is not clear in general how they manage everything.

I looked at both versions. I liked Chinese more. Despite the huge amount of water, the characters are better revealed, and the game is shown more interesting. If I could cut it down, everything would be perfect. It's a pity that the Chinese are not going to film the remaining two books yet. Netflix is some kind of a vinaigrette of three books, boring cardboard characters, events generally do not normally reveal themselves.
