How long I waited and how quickly I looked… I really liked it! I expected the worst from teenagers, but they turned out to be cool)
Ah, well, I would like to mention Hyde. Well, like, Steven's in jail or something... although Nikki in the second series in the circle is a direct reference to Hyde)) Still, I think that his daughter, about whom no one knows)
I was negatively configured before viewing. But the 1st series interested. 2nd tightened. Then I got used to the actors and they stopped pissing me off. On the 5th episode, I already realized that I would not mind watching the 2nd season. The series has a lot of humor with references to their culture, which not everyone will understand. While watching, I didn't want to rewind, pause, this is an indicator. And here.. How I met your dad - turned on the same on the 1st series (for comparison)
OK, sold. from what I liked: Grandfathers burn like 20 years ago. I grew up in the 90s, so all these references, music is just a balm for the ears and eyes. I was glad to see a lot of people from the old guard, some could be persuaded to spend more screen time. from what can be written down as minuses: the new generation seemed to me very faded, except that the gay Asian periodically piled up well, otherwise a little weak. It's a pity that Stephen is not there, as far as I remember, the actor was canceled, but when the parade of "oldies" began in the first series, hope lit up, but I hope if there is a second season, at least there will be some references to him. in general, I hope for the second season.
somehow, I was not hooked at all by the new actors and the characters prescribed by them, and this sequel looks more like a children's TV series than the original. But if there is a second season, I'm ready to continue watching for the sake of cameo oldies)
I realized that 10 episodes for such classic sitcoms is not enough. The characters do not have time to open up, and the audience does not have time to get into them. According to the authors' idea, the last series was supposed to give the feeling that a great cool summer, a great adventure had ended, but alas, this summer was not. It's like a probe of some kind.
I expected the worst, but it turned out to be a good series, mainly because of the appearance of the old truth caste. It's a pity that Kelso was almost gone, he and Fez were the most humorous in the series, I don't say anything about Hyde's absence at all. Of the newcomers, I liked Nate.
Probably, if I knew about "That 70s Show" before I saw the advertisement for the spiritual sequel, then my expectations would have been greatly overstated. And so - on the wave of nostalgia from the original show and the cast is very good. Cameos, phrases and just grandparents are beyond praise. They even showed the original Circle!
And here are the children... not that they are bad, no, but, against the background of the original characters and actors - well, nothing at all. Although, I really like Leia and Nate. Nate himself is very cool and looks and plays quite organically. And Leia is very well matched to Eric's character and complexion. I even believe it could be his daughter. But, there is a silver lining. The complete antagonists of my sympathy are Gwen and Ozzy. And, if Ozzy only has an unpleasant character, then Gwen is also an extremely bad actress. The children in this show are so overplayed that it looks worse than in the 70s the children did not finish playing. By the way, one of my favorite features of the original series is when the actors came out of the image and just whooped with laughter, it's very noticeable. It was very nice and heartfelt somehow...
In general, despite some shortcomings, I think that children will catch up in skill, really funny jokes will be added, and cameos will not be so rare. I'm waiting for the second season!

Children, I think, will still be revealed if Netflix gives a chance. The last twist still surprised me, Leia and Nate have a wildly friendly vibe.
Fez and Fenton😂

P.S. Fez just stole the whole season. Handsome!
