It turned out even better than I expected. It was shot perfectly, played perfectly. A purely written script, Andrew's respect 🫡
The arches of all the characters are absolutely perfectly and logically closed. And not only that, everyone is doing well, I missed the optimistic endings
Everything is just ho-ro-sho, there is nothing to complain about. It's a wonderful series. Now I want a second season
I still have no idea how to describe in words the attitude to this series. I definitely like that absolutely all the characters in it are complex, with problems, and behave differently from what is customary. Despite the fact that everyone is "inadequate", there are those who like you more, who seem more interesting, who are closer in their inadequacy to yourself. And surely everyone has different characters. There are no a priori positive or negative. Even for the same If they gave a context in the form of a family, so that it was clear why he was like that. This is definitely a plus. I watched the series, which means he and the characters were interesting to me. There are "but", they are always there. But in the last series, it seems to me, it was still possible to logically fill in the branches of the characters. Lolita in the heart ♥️ Still, it's a shame for Larisa. Maybe I just went too far with a couple of Larisa/Polina. Although, of course, they and their trio were originally and in the end remain a dubious couple. But it's the same with everyone in this series. At the same time, all the options are very vital. I really liked Alena's speech about the fate of the artist, about her feelings, attitude to the profession, that, despite the roles, success, she was not sated, not happy, not satisfied. In general, the character of Nikolaeva is well spelled out and played out. And, unfortunately, the ending with Ilya is logical, correct, in the spirit of the character, taking into account the circumstances.
It was great. Yes, they are all "fucking", but they are very well spelled out. And how they played! Creative people, they are all very complex, there is no point in looking for any logic here ... All the wounded are like that....
Judging by the enthusiastic reviews of the female audience, it is possible to understand that it is they who are the target. I can't say that I didn't like it at all, but I won't say that the series is good either. There are no questions for the actors, nor for the characters, in general. But for me, it didn't work out exactly in the plot plan.… The dance endings were mostly cool - it's interesting and fresh. In general, it feels very mixed.
@apolllo_2001: I support it, even though I am a female audience) I can't call this series bad, it's definitely well shot, the cast is great and everything is played perfectly, but somehow I didn't get it, or something. I barely finished watching it, there wasn't much interest. I only liked the inserts at the end
It was easy... No way. I can't describe my feelings in any other way. There was always something missing, and it seemed like the script was passable, and a lot of my favorite actors starred (Lolita is just amazing), but emotionally I was not involved at all. Some superficial problems of average people. Dissatisfaction with work, lack of recognition of talent, family squabbles - absolutely everyone has it, it's not unique. And the series is presented with the pathos of revealing the behind-the-scenes lives of creative people. I didn't see it. Plus, at least that, again, everyone played well, but that's about it somehow. It feels like such a long and not the most interesting conversation with an unfamiliar person: it seems that time was killed, but the details of this conversation were forgotten after 10 minutes.
@Mozyaika: how clearly you described my impressions of the series at the end! Here's a one-on-one. Everything is fine, and the script is fresh, unworn, and the cast is excellent, but the series itself somehow does not want to reconsider, everything is so superficial
And it all ended with a traditional acting skit)) I can't say that I'm thrilled, but I definitely liked it! Especially the inserts at the end of each episode are a straight cool solution, fresh and interesting
@id137078: yes, I feel a little sorry for him) The dream of any NORMAL woman . To be fair, this one immediately warned that it would be difficult for Cook and him with her.
Nothing to worry about. They positioned it as a backstage of the acting profession, but in fact they didn't really show or tell anything. Watching the same interviews, you can learn a lot more. And the question arises, why not show the constant processing, the boorish attitude to the workshops in the cinema, this whole bureaucracy. As they wrote in the comments to the trail: "Kept women in the theater" and I agree with that.
You can watch it, but there's nothing to wait for the second season. Not bad, but there is no wow effect. The first and second series, in my opinion, were the most interesting, everything else followed a downward trajectory. The actors are pleasant, I'm glad to see fresh faces, otherwise at the Start the same faces wander from series to series, but here it's all right. My score is 4 with a minus.
I liked the series. It turned out very truthfully and vitally, I learned a lot about myself (a related field of work). I liked the way the actor characters are written, they showed that they are all just people, all different and imperfect. And the scenes with covid also turned out to be very flashback. I also liked the acting. In general, it's not bad, as far as I'm concerned
This is such a good world! It's so naked, painful and beautiful that it's incredible!!! And God, how glad I am that TV series in Russia are reaching a new wonderful level. It has such a vibe, it is Russian, local, + all the backstage, it's great!
I won't write anything new: the characters are interesting, the actors played cool, but the series didn't catch on. The delight was caused only by the dance numbers, it was just wow. For me, a story about acting is an "Exercise in Beauty"
A lamp-like series, with excellent actors, dancing. Nothing more. Although all the characters are scum or half-scum, but their motivation is clear and they are interesting. Paulina is an excellent screenwriter
Absolutely a passing series. There are a lot of TV shows where the characters behave illogically, strangely, sleep with everyone in a row, and so on down the list. This series is distinguished only by the fact that it was shot by Bondarchuk according to Andreeva's script, and that allegedly the veil of the acting profession opens here... Moreover, I do not call this difference a plus, because it is absolutely not so.
Some of them played well, you can't take that away. Lolita, for example, surprised me very pleasantly.
The series is cool, I really liked it. A pretty good picture, a living story that does not make you get bored [yes, the narrative is crumpled in places, and there was not enough right at least for a series in each year, but alas, let's write down about the disadvantages of the series]. Perhaps this is where the advantages ended, as they said in the FOF "probably, this is an attempt to humanize the actors" It would be interesting, perhaps, to take another look at the series and look at the world created by Bondarchuk, simply because he is gorgeous in his embodiment I am glad that Russian TV series have begun to break out of some niche of "Milkmaids from Khatsapetovka" and "Cops cops"
The picture style, choreography and music are bomb. There may be questions about the script, but it just turned out to be too much melodrama. The cast is cool, some of the best actors in Russia, really. But what's the point of a second season here - probably nothing.
There is no need to do the second season, with these characters - for sure. Maybe it will work with others - "Actors", for example, but in principle the thing is finished (like life, with an ellipsis). I liked the series, I put it on 4. The plot is good, the acting is all excellent, the final scenes after the series are really fresh and bombastic. I consider excessive drama to be a disadvantage (subjectively). It is clear that this is the worst work, everything is exaggerated for the story, but there is not enough subtlety, poise (the British know how to give a drama with funny and simple), everything was straight to the break. Whatever the character is, it's a big Problem, whatever the scene is, it's not easy, it's a tragedy. It's too much in this sense. But in general, it is very good, and I am very happy for my beloved Gilev that he is given such roles where he unfolds :) Lolita surprised me. Khodchenkova, as always, is beautiful.
I can't judge the series as good or bad, but I definitely don't see an emphasis on the profession of actresses here. My opinion is that the plot of the series is very weak. Although an interesting topic and profession was chosen, in fact the series is more about a love story, infidelity, breakups and loneliness. In general, the main characters could be office workers or someone else, and I did not notice that their profession was an integral part of the series called "Actresses".
Ordinary women in this series show a high level of selfishness, sometimes behave inappropriately and overly emotionally (because they are, in theory, creative people). Basically, it all comes down to this, and their profession is not disclosed at all.
If the first episode somehow indicates that we are watching the actors, then there is nothing like that anymore. Sometimes they show samples and small excerpts of filming, but all this can easily be replaced without prejudice to the series. Auditions could be replaced with interviews, and filming could be replaced with ordinary office tasks and negotiations, and the series would not change at all.
The cast is good, everyone plays their roles superbly, there are no questions. But it seems to me that if it weren't for Bondarchuk, none of the actors would have agreed to play in this series, and investors wouldn't have given money for it.
Comparing with other TV series and films about creative professions, I do not remember the name, but I saw a film about a ballerina, which shows how difficult it is to be a ballerina, what kind of physical and emotional work it is, what kind of competition, and what life and love difficulties one has to face, and how a performer can cope with them on stage, not paying attention to them
@shelestov_di: attention. In this series, we see that a colleague of the actress is dying, and instead of paying attention to their work, to how they can hide their emotions and play, pushing aside the personal, we see: "Oh, how cool I felt the loss, I will use this." - apparently, these are such attempts to show us that they are actresses, but so that we do not forget.
When you watch films about the film industry or about preparing for a tour or interview, you immerse yourself and learn much more about the work of actors than is presented in this story. For the entire series, they have not been able to show the essence of the profession of an actress, and I do not understand how this is related to the name "Actresses".
To be honest, I would watch the second season just to see if there would be more emphasis on the profession. If not, then I wouldn't be interested in the series as a whole.
This series should be watched for the sake of Lolita (who, sometimes, plays better than some actors) and for the sake of dance numbers at the end of each episode)
Despite all the rough edges, the sagging plot in places, the likely trimming of either the finished series or the script due to new laws on LGBT people (who knows acting life from afar, understands what I'm getting at), I liked the series. Yes, he does not claim to be great, but it turned out to be a very interesting, non-black and non-Petrosian statement about actors and their lives. In some places it is universal, in some places it is very Russian, in some places it is a weird and absurd, but interesting story. I rediscovered Nevsky (why is it being filmed so little?) and Lolita as an actress.
