Great episode! By the way, it's strange that only now we've seen this backstory, only on season 19 (!), but there weren't any special questions before that.
@Alexandergerts: In such series, it's even funny to use the phrase "plot hole" because they don't care about it, almost always. All situations happen here and now just for the sake of a joke and almost never affect the future. That this series, that South Park, that the Simpsons, that Family Guy (and for that matter, a bunch of other series) often contradict their own flashbacks and flashforwards. The scriptwriters themselves do not take the conditional ENT of their own series seriously . There is simply no single canon here. The overall structure of these series (except for some seasons of South Park) is vertical , that is, in fact, you can watch the series at least randomly.
