s01e08 — The Fourth Scroll

Not a bad teen TV series with a family drama flavored with Chinese wuxia fantasy. Good acting and decent action. I'm quite curious about what will happen in the second season.

A light series for the weekend. Visually pleasing to look at, everything is so bright, the humor is unobtrusive.
The plot is of course simple, it's still Disney, but the Chinese flavor does absolutely everything here.
The only problem is the main character. He is somehow too repulsive to "root for" him. All the other characters are good. Moreover, the castes are all familiar faces.

In parallel, by the way, I'm reviewing "Into the Badlands", and it turns out that technically Daniel Wu has already played Sun Wukong twice. That series is loosely based on "Journey to the West," and so is this one. Funny.

A good, unobtrusive series. Of course, the bias towards adolescence makes it slightly angular, but it's still nice to look at

Great cast, jaw—dropping action with great choreography of fights, mandatory characters - so far everything is fine. And the comic book on which the series is based is also very cool 🙉

I liked everything in the series except the main character's line. He is so sad that even the story of Madame Pebble's dog and the fate of Guanyin's coffee table interested me more than this sluggish, disliked Jin line. The secondary "Chinese" characters, however, are all good, the fights are beautiful, and the costumes are a wonderful nostalgia for kung fu fighters of the early 90s

A normal series, with a good cast of adult actors, the main problem lies in the gg, if you remove it, not only will nothing change, it will even get better if the show lives, then for season 2 the groundwork is already much better, you can note the beautifully choreographed fights, right in the best Chinese traditions
