It's always a question of where to leave the review for the entire season, in the first episode or the last... So, the second season is significantly weaker than the first. There is, in fact, nothing that made the series good last season. Pseudo-magic is gone, plot twists and riddles are not really there, the whole "hu dan it" and so on is quite obvious, almost from the first series, at most from the second (with one side exception). Interactions between the characters are at a minimum. There's only a little bit of action left, such a normal social drama. Of the new advantages, well, the villain of the season is more charismatic (and his background is the only worthy revil of the season), but he is generally isolated in the series. And this is imho a giant minus. There will be a spoiler in the next paragraph.
I really didn't like that the villain had nothing to do with the place, with the story. He just happened to be there and just started working for a man who needed a killer. Yes, the motive for the common crime is also terribly boring, no, well, in the first season, money was the reason for everything, yes. But at least there were interesting clues, the terrorist "struggle for freedom" of the Indians, etc. This season, mystical practices could somehow be tied to the whole situation, but no.
In general, yes, it is unclear why the second season exists in this form. The only really worthwhile moment is "I'm sorry, indian time" at the end. That's cool, but yes, this is one moment, in general, the Bernadette and Chi line is probably a bright spot in the season.
