For those who do not understand the ending - after disappearing in the past, Chom first moved not to his present, but to a more distant past, where he met Yaya in his past life - this was shown to us in the scene after the credits, and the second volume of the novella is dedicated to this - how Yai falls in love with Chom from his first life (therefore in in his second life, already as Khun Yai, it seems to Yai that he met and loved Chom before).
Only after that, Chom returned to his present, where he met Yaya already in his third life, and at some point he remembered his past two lives, so he still remembers and loves Chom. The hostess of the house who gave Chom the key to the chest is the daughter of Lek, Khun Yai's younger brother. And Khun Yai in modern times is her son.

A big budget is needed for the film adaptation of the second volume of the novella, since there are more serious historical events, a lot of costumes and scenery are needed, and those who have been watching lacorns for a long time know that continuation budgets are always tight, so they left a hint on it, but not the fact that it will ever be removed. But it would be cruel to leave the audience on the cliffhanger without HAE, so we got both the finale of the whole story, and at the same time a hint of the second season, which takes place in time BETWEEN the parting of Khun Yai and Chom and the finale.

Yaya and Chom's farewell was so touching, I already shed tears, And then these memories of them and shots of each of them in separation. My heart could barely stand it, honestly, so I'm insanely glad that in the end HE and they did meet in the present. Because if they hadn't shown the meeting, but only dropped a hint for the second season, and then it wouldn't have been filmed, I would have just cursed the series. I hate it when they do that. Because lakorn is really kind of catchy, like nothing special, but it was terribly interesting. I will now hope for the second season, it should also be interesting there))
