It's funny how this moment is depicted differently in Manhua, Donghua and the novel.
In Manhua, Xie Lian fell on Hua Chen, and he caught him in his arms.
In Donghua, Xie Lian landed in close proximity, but did not run over anyone.
In the novel, Xie Lian fell straight into Hua's lap, but he did not catch him, which (imho) makes the situation even more awkward and intimate than in the first version.
