I am delighted with how the authors have agreed on the canon.

Sheldon said he saw it. And the image of the father was not blackened. ... Sheldon just didn't understand and took what he saw for treason, and didn't tell anyone, and all his life he believed that his father had cheated on his mother. Although it was a mother in disguise...

@AysenKaius: and so the image of his father in Sheldon's memory turned black.... Because of what he saw, Sheldon will remember more negative things about his father. He likes a can of beer in front of the TV - he became an alcoholic in Sheldon's head.

@AysenKaius: perhaps for TBV it was normal to screw Sheldon with some kind of injury, but in a comedy sitcom about a family, an unfaithful drunkard dad is no longer the same, perhaps that's how the situation turned out. Again, the Theory )

How sorry I am for George Sr. Sheldon thought all his life that Dad cheated on Mom. And here it is .. The image of the father in TBV and in DSH did not match. It's like two different people.

As far as I remember, Sheldon said at TBV that he had returned from the camp. And then he described his father's mistress, who smelled of cigars and gave him plush toys.

But TBV has already ended, and Sheldon's childhood is now underway. And I am very glad that this is how they tried to coordinate the canon, because this series is very cozy and kind. So we will soon face the death of George Sr., at least they did not prescribe real treason.

it still doesn't add up, it seems that Sheldon told me that Dad's mistress then cajoled him with gifts, I remember something like that. Well, okay, I'm even glad that we moved away from the original version, I wasn't ready to see betrayal and betrayal, although it also turns out very sad.

In s10e05, Sheldon says that he did not just find his father with another woman and ran away, but that they met the gazes of "we locked eyes", he ran into his room and after that they never spoke.
And as already noted above, he also talked about his mistress herself.

Of course, it is understandable why they decided to correct this so as not to blacken the positive image of the father, but still there was an unpleasant aftertaste, because throughout the series the ending of the story was expected "according to the canon". I would even say that the understanding that the series should turn from a light comedy into a kind of family drama made the series more attractive against the background of standard sitcoms.

@vs40: and I also thought, since they decided to change, they can show an adult Sheldon in the last episode, who learns from his mother that George did not cheat on her, so that Sheldon would close his gestalt and stop hating his father.
However, then another trauma may develop from the realization that I found my parents in bed :D

Media: Jim Parsons will play Sheldon Cooper in the finale of "Sheldon's Childhood"
, Along with him, Mayim Bialik will allegedly return to the role. The finale of Sheldon's Childhood, a spin-off of The Big Bang Theory, will feature an adult Sheldon Cooper played by Jim Parsons, according to TV Line sources. Together with the adult Sheldon, Amy, his wife, will allegedly appear in the show — Mayim Bialik will play her again.

"Mark my words.Toria Strings will be a hit" - as you are right Sheldon, it will also lead to 12 seasons and 12 years with the heroes of TBV - I wanted to scream ....
Sheldon grew up as a character, he shared a room with a stranger (who reminded me of Leonard), in my opinion even for this series his level of communication has grown .
Mary also pleasantly surprises me when she remembers her dashing past and gives a little slack in her image of a "proper" mother.
I agree about the comments about the betrayal of my father - I think this is a move so as not to overshadow the image of my father, which does not coincide with TBV. P.S.
Children, why are children here?- as a mother, I understand Sheldon perfectly 😅

That's "cheating". I'm also glad that they did it, no matter how canonically. Sheldon's brain is tripled in a different way and we'll write it off. Perhaps he just imagined that since there was treason, and if, say, a neighbor gives him something for nothing, he will decide that it is she who appeases him. And he didn't ask any questions and everything was so mixed up with him) Sorry for the mistakes)

Um, so Georgie and Mandy made a baby without even being able to provide themselves with a roof over their heads, but is Sheldon the one who should sleep on the couch or even move out to the garage? This is his room, his space, and he's a kid. And Georgie and Mandy are already adults with jobs, why the hell did they take the child's bedroom away from him? No matter how annoying Sheldon is to his family, it's trash. And Mary, all so pious, yeah, at the same time her little child lives in the garage or even has to sleep anywhere and is normal

@SofieW: Sheldon is no longer a child compared to the baby, and this is a forced exchange, since grandma will no longer be able to live. I.e., an infant must live in a garage!? And Sheldon is in his room because he's Sheldon. Even Shelley did not become very indignant , because he understands that the child needs good conditions . The baby is at an age when she should already be learning to crawl and takes everything in her mouth - it will be dangerous to do this in the garage, of course. And Sheldon left home himself, and in my opinion, his living conditions are quite good - his parents take care of him as much as before. And as for the material wealth of Georgie and Mandy - they did not plan a child and nevertheless they are raising money for a house - I think they are good parents at least for this

@angsfreemail: My anger has nothing to do with Sheldon or the baby. It is related to the carelessness of Sheldon's parents. It's one thing to give a child's room to the needs of a baby, the other is not knowing where Sheldon is at the end of the series, only sighing with relief, forgetting where her own child spent the night and where her own child disappeared. And she wasn't the one who suggested he move into the dorm, she pushed him into a smelly garage. Sheldon is also still growing and developing, and at his age it is very important to have his own space, a place that would be his personal island of safety. I do not belittle the needs of the baby, but Sheldon is far from an adult man. And Mandy, by the way, had an amazing opportunity to move in with her parents, taking pride in her fist, and save money for her own housing there. She chose to evict Sheldon anywhere, it's much easier to push a child off than an overbearing mother. But some children should not suffer for the sake of others, in my opinion.

@SofieW: Well Sheldon is a symbol of stability. Therefore, it did not occur to his family to offer to live in a dorm . And the fact that he could run away is so not his style. But I agree , the boy is growing up . One of their sons lived in the garage anyway, Sheldon is also a son. And at the expense of living with parents who do not behave like parents , but it seems that someone else's family has become closer - to understand how hard it is to live with people who do not understand you , and in general how many times they came and nursed their granddaughter !? As a mother of a young son, I would not take pride in my fist if I had such an alternative as my husband's wonderful parents. Especially when there are so many babysitters nearby, you can get to work faster.

@angsfreemail: Georgie moved into the garage when he claimed he was old enough to drop out of school. Sheldon did not make such statements.

So, as a mother of a small child, are you ready to evict another child from HIS personal space for your own good? And hide behind the fact that he is already old enough? Even so, it's not about you, but about the series characters.

Mandy and Georgie have jobs, they can take the money and move out to a rented apartment. You can leave a child to grandmothers without living in a child's room, even such an independent one as Sheldon.

And Mary and George could have given them their room and moved into the garage themselves for a while, if they wanted to live with their granddaughter so much. That's really who is old enough and independent enough for this.

@SofieW: for your own good?! Move out to a rented house - that is, immediately kill the dream of owning your own house by spending money on rented housing. Leave the child to the grandmothers, and live in a rented apartment???And there is enough personal space in the garage, no one kicked him out of the house. Mary and George are 2 people, Sheldon is 1 - naturally, 1 is more comfortable in the garage than 2. Why do you think that the garage infringes on Sheldon's rights so much?! And anyway, why argue about it - Sheldon lives perfectly, despite his arrogant nature, he is loved by everyone in the family , he had his own room before recent events , he studied where he wanted, they cooked food for him because he wanted to eat it. He is loved (even with sarcastic jokes), but here " personal space" can be found in the garage. And anyway, it doesn't matter anymore, Sheldon found his personal space in the dorm, and previously shared his personal space with his sister. So , there are no benefits here , there is a choice of circumstances .

Interestingly, one of the most memorable features of the "Theory..." appeared purely by accident, during the filming of the 10th episode "The Lubenfeld Breakup"[33]. It was in it that viewers first saw Sheldon walking to Penny's apartment and knocking on the door three times.
Lee Aronson. The script said, "Sheldon knocks on the door, Penny opens it for him." And then I ask: "What if he knocks like that?" And instead of one knock, I do three. So I wanted to show how Sheldon's obsessive-compulsive disorder manifests itself. People with this disorder tend to perform repetitive actions, like when everything is clear and structured. We decided to play with this feature of Sheldon. One day, Peni opens the door for him after the second knock, and Sheldon just doesn't know what to do next! He struggles with himself, struggles, but eventually returns to her door and "knock, knock, knock, Penny." (Laughs.)Peter Chakos (editor, executive co-producer). I was there when Lee knocked three times. In theory, Sheldon should have just knocked on the door once, and Penny should have just opened it. I could see the gears turning in Lee's brain: "Would it be funny if Sheldon knocked three times?" And then Lee came up with his idea of a triple knock, which eventually set the tone for the entire series.

A few years later, in one of the episodes of season 10, the writers revealed the real reason why Sheldon always knocks three times. And this is not OCD at all. He tells Penny that at the age of thirteen he caught his father, George Sr., with another woman and, although he noticed Sheldon at the door, they never discussed what happened. That's why, Sheldon says, he always knocks three times now and only then opens the door. "The first knock is normal, but on the second and third people manage to pull on their pants." Aronson left the project in the middle of season 4, and therefore did not know it.

Lee Aronson. By the time they had this idea, I had already left the series, but it's a brilliant reconstruction. Of course, from the point of view of the plot and the character, I like the explanation that as a child he was traumatized psychologically when he saw his father with another woman. But that's from Molaro's time, not mine. So respect.Steve Holland. The idea was completely spontaneous, but I remember that it upset some of the crew. Someone said, "It was unpleasant to find out the reason for his triple knock. I didn't like such a sad explanation."Tara Hernandez (executive co-producer, screenwriter). We didn't think of any way to justify this leap of his. It's just that this explanation fits very seamlessly into the series in which Sheldon has a heart-to-heart chat with Penny. It scared many people, because what was played out as a joke was actually an event that deeply traumatized Sheldon as a child. While working in the scenario room, I love such creepy scenes, because people react to them very violently. We discussed this point a lot, but in the end we decided that we needed to write an explanation into the series, because for Sheldon it's part of his past. And it doesn't matter whether it causes the viewer to have conflicting feelings or not.Steve Molaro. Perhaps the correct answer is that we were trying to add some weight to that scene. And we found a way to do it. If I had known how that scene would affect Sheldon's Childhood, I would have thought twice. (Laughs.)

What an easy Mary in this series - and she rode fervently on the football field with the football players (only her hair was famously developing in the wind), and Missy supported in parting (she did not even say a word about cheating with the boy and did not tell her father), and dressed up in a playful German costume in her husband's bedroom. Fire, I like Mary so relaxed and carefree
