@katcruel: Judging by the fact that all the most important things were taken away from the planet in advance, it was some kind of Cortana Trojan that was left on purpose.
By the end of the episode, my eyes started to hurt. Why they took the style of shooting like an amateur camera is not clear. As for the camerawork, it's generally bad for me. There is not a single beautiful scene. Although it is clear that they tried. That is, there are moments, apparently prepared by the script for this, but lengthy by the operator. Well, about the script, it feels like it was written by a neural network. It seems to have everything you need, but somehow at the wrong time, at the wrong time, and not like that. Without emotion, as if the author did not understand exactly how this or that scene worked, but at the same time he knew that it should be.
Remember the scene from "Firefly" when Michael realized the irreversibility of defeat. Here she touched it. But not in this series. https://www.pyatnicyn.ru/images/3323.jpg
@SmilePS: The Covenant is attacking the planet. And first of all, he lands a sabotage group. It seems like a reasonable thing to do. But why ? Is there a planetary defense weapon there? I don't think so. So what the hell? The Covenant steals Cortana. Initially, Cortana was with the chief, and people saw her, knew about her. Then Cortana was separated from the Chief and classified. The question arises – How did the covenant find out about Cortana? How did they find her exact location, planet, city, house, room. Why wasn't Cortana evacuated? It's not like it's a computer the size of a room. It's just a chip. He put it in his pocket and took it away. If she's so important that the covenant steals her, then maybe it was worth doing something with her? In ancient times, a long time ago, thousands of years ago, doors were invented. A very useful invention. They don't miss physical objects. They do not require energy replenishment. To use them, you do not need to know any special knowledge. So why is there no door in the prison? Why did the prisoners just walk away when the electricity went out? It seems like the most important thing is being evacuated from the planet. And it seems like the most important thing is the super soldiers, who are called three-digit numbers. That is, there are very few of them. They are very difficult to grow and train. So why did they evacuate armor that can be riveted on an assembly line, and a man who has only been growing for twenty years was left on the planet to die? As it turned out, the Chief is much more effective without armor than with it.
The Covenant is walking through the city and scattering civilians. What the hell? It seems like they are destroying power plants. What for? Are there guns that are connected to them? And are there any such guns at all? People aren't going to defend this planet anyway. And the covenant even knows where Cortana was kept, so maybe they should know that too? The chief runs to the skyscraper to cover up.. what? Whom? What do soldiers do anyway? Is there one space shuttle for the entire planet? Are they going to put ten million people there? It seems like space shuttles can land anywhere, even in a field, even in a forest. So what's the point of protecting just one house? Covenant, what is attacking from the forest? I don't think so. There's only a small sabotage squad. So what the hell? The chief ran into a skyscraper and met Maki there. How? What is she doing there? Maki stole Cortana, was in some basement, then went up, and now she's on the roof of a skyscraper? What is she doing there? Where is she going? Is she just walking around the fan? And why did she land on the planet? What's the use of it at all? Then one of the Covenant commanders kills his own. What the hell? The Covenant is actually superintelligent aliens. They are not barbarians. Yes, such a commander will then be killed by the friends of this soldier in the dark.
@SmilePS: I have the answers to 2 of the questions asked: - about power stations - yes, it is said in the series that if they are cut off, the orbital protection (magnetic rail guns) will be cut off. Don't ask me how they supply electricity from the planet to orbit! =)) - why did sanghaili, who was with Maki, chop off the head of the dude who shot the Chief? Because he fucked up his duel of honor with a Demon (see the end of the 2nd series, when this elien, strangling the garrison commander, declared that there was no honor in such a battle).
@SmilePS: they have planetary defense, the Admiral talked about it when the Chief told the plan. You have a lot of questions, they would even seem very funny, but it's easy to find an answer to each one and they seem to just get to the bottom of it. 1) For example, as already noted above, Cortana could have been left on purpose as a Trojan horse. Since it does not look like the original one (similar to Halsey), it can be assumed that this is some kind of duplicate of Cortana. We'll probably find out about this later. 2) And how did you find it… And how did Maki find the rest of the hidden devices? That's the same for Cortana. 3) Doors are doors, but a) the room is designed for simulation and it may be that the door is not compatible there. Or else, if you look at Halsey's reaction, she was afraid to go through the device, because she thought it was still working. The limit was not calculated for power outages, especially for backup power outages and so on, so no one thought that the power might go out there, for example. And the door can be hacked or knocked down. 4) As we can see, Kaya is missing, she must have been evacuated. But Reese, Vannak and the Chief, fighters without capsules and who have become uncontrollable... yes, what are they for? And what is the armor to produce? 5) The Covenant simultaneously bombs there, and bombs here, and nightmares civilians. Just because he loves this business, why not? They've always been doing it in this series. 6) The chief fled to the space fleet for armor. Then I found out that there was no armor, I met my comrades and the admiral, who is trying to evacuate people. They are told a plan to lure more scaly ones into a narrow place to take more with them, they go to execute. 7) Along the way, it turns out that they are attacking (the last one?) an evacuating ship with civilians. Reese or Vannak say that civilians are more important, there are a lot of them there, and the Marines say they can handle holding here on their own. These are the ones who are going to help the ADMIRAL fly away, among others. I don't remember anything about landing anywhere, plus you can't put people anywhere, it's still necessary to drag them somewhere. Where they can, they sit down there. 8) Maki, in case you don't remember because of the abundance of events, just a few minutes ago she was in the same place as Halsey and Soren. And they went up there in about the same time. Oh, how strange it is!
@Kentavr: If you really want to, you can explain any stupidity. It's just that you have such a fantasy, you were able to come up with why certain events happen. But these events still don't get any less stupid. It's all unrealistic, people don't do that, wars aren't fought that way. The main task of the director is to deceive the audience. To create the illusion that everything we see is true, no matter how fantastic it looks. And here they can't cope with it at all. I do not believe. There is falsehood and hack work all around.
@SmilePS: but I did not invent it, I am extremely little familiar with the universe, and I judge only by the series. What was said or shown in the series or in the series as a whole, that's what I took.
@Kentavr: no, this is just fiction, there is no specifics here. 1) For example, as noted above, you are not sure yourself. 2) And how did you find it… And how did Maki find the rest of the hidden devices? - here you answer a question with a question. 3) Doors are doors, but a) the room is designed for simulation and it may be so - again it may be as if. 4) As we can see, Kaya is missing, for sure - for sure it may or may not be. Etc. Just fantasies.
If this was a good series, shot by skilled people, then I wouldn't ask any questions, but just trusted the authors, in the sense that they would answer all the questions themselves at the end, and I would be like, I don't care how they deftly turned it all around, that's the twist. But this is a bad series, so there won't be any answers. Everything that happened and was not explained happened simply "because", and there is no point in it.
@SmilePS: if there were any specifics and I had to chew it out for you, then I would just say that you are not very smart, and not very attentive. 1) In the sense of "not sure"? I'm not sure about anything at all, these are all assumptions based on what we've been shown. If you are hooked on "as noted above", then I do not understand at all. Why should I pass off what people said above as my clever thoughts if I can refer to the source? Otherwise, too, xs, I can draw logical conclusions from what was shown to us and I don't have any special questions (except how to get to the bottom of nothing). How you looked at "Very Strange Cases" with this approach and put 5* – I don't know. There is also nonsense, inconsistencies and other things left right an order of magnitude more than here in the middle of the season. 2) I'm not answering a question with a question, I'm prompting. The exact answer will still be shown to us, but the options are as follows: exploration, systematic search of everything and everything, Maki feels artifacts (or knows, consider her a Wang) what and where, tea is not made with a finger. 3) We were shown the reaction of Halsey, who knows everything there like the back of her hand, there is no need to think about anything here, again, I just chew what is shown. 4) Not fantasies, but the usual logical assumption from what was seen in this or previous episodes. It would be a fantasy if I said that Kai ended up in the mouth of Shai-Hulud because she stomped loudly on Akerson. Or that John is actually Cortana, and John was pulled out and taken away by Maki, whom she found thanks to a close internal sexual relationship because of the child that John gave her. These are fantasies. However, as I said above, your questions are from the category of "just to get to the bottom of it, not to think", so I can only advise you not to torment yourself and drop the viewing.
@Kentavr: According to your logic, you can shoot any kind of ill-conceived and illogical shit, and write it off as something that the viewer supposedly doesn't want to think about, because everything is simple there. "2) I'm not answering a question with a question, I'm prompting. They will still show us the exact answer, but the options are as follows: exploration, systematic search of everything and everything, Maki feels artifacts (or knows, consider her a Wang) what and where, tea is not made with a finger. " Well, what are you stupid, it's magic, she's Wang. She's just a super duper smart character, and she's doing great. It's obvious.
And communicate more carefully with the person you are arguing with, I have explained quite clearly what my claims are. I have already replied that if you want, you can explain anything. I have already written that my main quibble is the implausibility of what was shown, and the inability to immerse myself in the story. I have already written that if the story had been well shot, I would not have asked questions and would have watched the series and enjoyed it like Very strange things.""
@SmilePS: We have already been shown about Maki how she searches for artifacts. I won't even chew it, it's already stupid to even try. Only the first season was well filmed in the OSD, I really love the first season. With a stretch, the second one is still somehow. But then they didn't even suck the plot and everything else out of their fingers, blunders and illogicalities there – Jesus forbid. It was shot more expensive, with manners, but it does not make the last seasons of the OSD better, on the contrary, it is even more insulting. But nevertheless, in the middle of the season it was strange to roll out claims about some kind of stupidity, it was worth waiting for the end of the season or the series and then asking what the hell it was all about. But the OSD was filmed directly with a claim to quality, to the idea, to that's all. But you somehow swallowed it :) Halo doesn't even have such habits at all, it's just a series around the world and a series. And it's not even the end of the season yet. So I communicate as closely as possible with someone with whom I do not argue, but I even chew on some platitudes. But that's where I stop. It was interesting to try to explain, but answering all sorts of nonsense is somehow not very good, so good luck to you there.
@Kentavr: I've written so much, and I've already answered it with a couple of messages above: "If this was a good series shot by skilled people, then I wouldn't ask any questions, but just trusted the authors, in the sense that they will answer all the questions themselves at the end, and I would be like - whatever Imagine how they did it all cleverly, that's the twist. But this is a bad series, so there won't be any answers. Everything that happened and was not explained happened simply "because", and there is no point in it." And you also claim that you are communicating carefully. And the whole message was missed.
Very strange things the first season is good. And the rest is bullshit, I'm not going to argue here.
@SmilePS: one good season does not make the whole series "a good series, shot by skilled people, so that I would not ask any questions, but just trusted the authors in the sense that they would answer all the questions themselves at the end, and I would be like, no matter how they deftly turned it all around, that's the twist" And Halo is not a bad series, it's just... ordinary. All the high expectations from him are only because of the universe. I am not a fan of the universe, so for me there is no sacred awe here and I just look like an ordinary action movie with elements of a detective story, so, apparently, I can notice simple logic that is not available to you. In recent seasons of the OSD, I personally yawned and wondered at the illogic and grand pianos more often than here, but nevertheless, I did not write outraged posts in the middle of the season and I do not call the OSD a cinder block and humbly wait for the new season :)
The war, of course, is shown beautifully. For real, as it is. Fast, chaotic, sudden, dark, dirty, bloody, without beautiful frames and scenes with deep meaning. As well as people's reactions to her: from Perez's shock at how easily and quickly her family and friends died, to John's composure, knowing what to do in such a cunt, and the admiral telling the harsh truth as it is. And what a significant death of two characters.
- I'm a civilian. - You're a pirate. - Small business owner.
The series is straight on the tin The invasion is realistically shown, and the deaths of the characters ... The reasons for the invasion and the leadership tests are not important, but I liked the series, the only thing that the armor was not left, that's not cool here
I have a suspicion that Kai could also have been taken as a valuable asset. Perhaps even without her knowledge of the essence of what is happening. And there will be salvation when she understands everything and returns with weapons and armor.
Well, finally, we waited for the scene of the fall of the Limit. Instead of the four episodes that have already passed, it was worth making three, and giving the budget to the remaining one, doing everything on a large scale. We would not have lost anything, only gained.
I quite liked the series, it was very dynamic. I kept wondering where to do Dr. Halsey's daughter, who was in every episode last season, and then disappeared, but they finally remembered about her - that she still exists somewhere. Probably the actress left the series and decided to just bring the character to the margins
@ViktoryMartini: She's going to play a role in the Battle for Earth or something, but it's not going to be soon, so according to the plot, she shouldn't have been at the Limit, as far as I understand.
For me, it was better to look at Kwan than Perez. She infuriated the whole series with her indecision, how did she even fight in the squadron then, if she couldn't even save herself. No sense of self-preservation. I feel sorry for Vannaka kapets, I wanted to see his passion for animals further, he even managed to give names to pigeons. That's strange, why was Kai taken away with the armor? Without any armor at all, how are they still holding up there? It was only in this series that they finally figured out how to use the enemy's weapon, this trash in general, they hadn't figured it out before. Reese is also unarmored, so-so, insecure. One Chief is a fighter in spirit, with or without armor. Let's think about why Cortana Maki and the Covenant? Finally, with simulations, they realized that this was a prison. It's a pity they didn't show how Catherine was caught at all.
@Katrin_90: "Only in this episode did they finally figure out how to use the enemy's weapon" What were you watching anyway? It has happened more than once during battles, and separately that the Spartans know more about him than the cabinet ones (someone was disassembled in the lab, it seems Miranda when she became the head of the project last season) But to put on system weapons, and where to get the charges? They're not endless. They could have reproduced it, they would probably have already riveted it themselves. "It's a pity they didn't show how Katherine was caught at all." Actually, in fact, they showed how she voluntarily goes somewhere with this guy, someone even called the location somewhere under that series (a certain spaceport). Obviously, Akerson deceived her by providing "shelter", and Kiiz clearly did not know that she was sitting in the same building, judging by the reaction.
I don't understand why the series has so many unnecessary and completely stupid female characters. but Cortana, as the most interesting female character, sits on the bench for half the season. Spartans without armor - well, that's it. although John is certainly good without armor. I felt sorry for the Admiral
Well, about the script, it feels like it was written by a neural network. It seems to have everything you need, but somehow at the wrong time, at the wrong time, and not like that. I have already replied that if you want, you can explain anything. I have already written that my main quibble is the implausibility of what was shown, and the inability to immerse myself in the story. I have already written that if the story had been well shot, I would not have asked questions and would have watched the series and enjoyed it like Very strange things.""
But you somehow swallowed it :)
Halo doesn't even have such habits at all, it's just a series around the world and a series. And it's not even the end of the season yet.
So I communicate as closely as possible with someone with whom I do not argue, but I even chew on some platitudes. But that's where I stop. It was interesting to try to explain, but answering all sorts of nonsense is somehow not very good, so good luck to you there.
"If this was a good series shot by skilled people, then I wouldn't ask any questions, but just trusted the authors, in the sense that they will answer all the questions themselves at the end, and I would be like - whatever Imagine how they did it all cleverly, that's the twist. But this is a bad series, so there won't be any answers. Everything that happened and was not explained happened simply "because", and there is no point in it."
And you also claim that you are communicating carefully. And the whole message was missed.
Very strange things the first season is good. And the rest is bullshit, I'm not going to argue here.
And Halo is not a bad series, it's just...
- I'm a civilian.
- You're a pirate.
- Small business owner.
The invasion is realistically shown, and the deaths of the characters ...
The reasons for the invasion and the leadership tests are not important, but I liked the series, the only thing that the armor was not left, that's not cool here
What were you watching anyway? It has happened more than once during battles, and separately that the Spartans know more about him than the cabinet ones (someone was disassembled in the lab, it seems Miranda when she became the head of the project last season)
But to put on system weapons, and where to get the charges? They're not endless. They could have reproduced it, they would probably have already riveted it themselves.
"It's a pity they didn't show how Katherine was caught at all."
Actually, in fact, they showed how she voluntarily goes somewhere with this guy, someone even called the location somewhere under that series (a certain spaceport). Obviously, Akerson deceived her by providing "shelter", and Kiiz clearly did not know that she was sitting in the same building, judging by the reaction.
Spartans without armor - well, that's it. although John is certainly good without armor.
I felt sorry for the Admiral
