Better than ranobe.
A few spoilers.
The vote in ranobe was up to 100% approval of the candidate for departure. Kushida was under threat and the topic surfaced that Ayanokoji was giving her points.
Ayanokoji wanted to expel Kushida and almost did, but the decision was not unanimous because Horikita voted against. Horikita felt that Kushida would still be useful to the class, because Kushida has very extensive connections, and in other classes too.
Kushida destroyed her class at the last school (she told other people's secrets) and tried to do the same at this school: she thought she had nothing left to lose.
After the vote, Kushida stopped going to school, and Horikita tried to bring her back, which is ironic because Kushida hates Horikita the most.
Some girl was kicked out (I forgot her name) from the Ayanokoji group, but after she was expelled, everything was fine (she seemed to have gone into idols).
In Ranobe, everything is much more complicated: there was even a time limit and a system of remuneration-fines for expulsion (but I no longer remember more precisely).
I was waiting for the vote, but they stretched out the wrong thing: the preparation for the vote. The vote, if it had been shown properly, would have been the highlight of the season. IMHO, Ayanokoji revealed himself very much in the voting, as a person and a GG.
P.S. it seems like I read it somewhere, they will expel her anyway. And Ayanokoji helped eliminate her
The voting of the 3rd season begins with the 12th volume of Chapter 2 (according to ranobelib's account).
In 2nd year volume 5, Takuya told her about exam that it has a question that can help to expell, Kikyo tried but her plan gone bad and Kiyotaka exposed her true personality to whole class, since Kikyo know she was going to get expelled, she wanted to reveal people's darkest secrets like she did in middle school, she told some but Suzune stopped her and Suzune said she is going to keep Kikyo in class which angered Kikyo.
In 2nd year volume 6, Kikyo had stayed in her room and did not come to school, Suzune and Mio went to talk with her to get her to come. After some talking she was convinced but there was funny moment that Kikyo and Suzune pulled each others cheeks. She returned to class but since her true personality was revealed she was now going to act like that.
