This drama with Bert and Alzheimer's is not necessary here at all... They squeeze it out. I'm sorry for Goodwin, I join her in tears that she doesn't need it at all. How much did this mysterious Bert give her nightmares during the series with his antics when he wasn't even shown, and then he found another one for himself (by the way, where did she go), and now Goodwin has to go through it with him. She wants to protect children who have their own lives, although in general children should also help their dad at such a moment.
Ahmad is also being squeezed. It's only been 6 episodes, and she's already gotten into as many conflicts as Will Halstead got into in 7 years of the series. They really chase her line that she is so naughty. OK, you can stretch a couple of trials for a season, but not in every episode to show dashing showdowns.

And I'm very sorry for Goodwin, too, but everything is fine with her. Why should she babysit a man who abandoned her in her old age, and how seriously ill he was, he immediately indicated to the contact person.
