@cassh: Anything can happen. The first single from the debut album of the newly minted musician David Duchovny. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaAII2kOzNc
There was a documentary on discovery about Charlie Manson, just in advance of the series, I advise you to watch who hasn't seen it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=665& ;v=aGP-YfKCdvw
@Basson: On the day of the two-hour premiere of the series, which will take place on May 28, 2015, all thirteen episodes of the show starring David Duchovny will be posted on the channel's official website, they can be viewed using the NBC app and the video on Demand service. The torrents will probably appear a little later, until they are pulled out. They also say that the producers have prepared two versions of the series – a more neutral one for public TV and, probably, a more explicit one for applications, and this is fucking news.
It's really cool news that all the episodes will merge at once, but I'm not waiting for them because of Duchovny. The topic of the Manson group is already a burning one in itself, I hope that the series will not disappoint!
Everything is gorgeous. There's only one thing that's not great. Why did they hire such a handsome man for the role of Manson? Fuck, he's such a charmer. Do they build his image on childhood traumas, tortures in prison and fucking as victims of a pedophile? Are they trying to arouse our sympathy? TO WHOM? To Charles Manson? Oh, I already see five thousand publications on the toggle switch full of gifs of the beautiful face of a homicidal maniac. And this is not the turnover of youngsters for Hannibal Lecter, who seems to be fictional. It's going to be a hell of a hysteria about a still-alive, and just as crazy freak.
@Mmoloko: Well, I don't know, according to the first episode, Manson is not a charming handsome man, but a rather nasty person. The one I liked outwardly was a drug-addicted cop. Well, for that matter, Manson himself seems to have some charisma and charm, since he created his own sect, quite successfully promoted his ideas and manipulated people. It is strange to tell this story and omit these features of his.
@Mmoloko: He's really handsome... ordinary. just like Manson himself. and if someone feels sorry for him, then these are not the problems of the series, but of the people from whom he will cause these emotions. and by the way, most often all criminals have some kind of childhood injuries and similar crap, well, no one feels sorry for them. because childhood trauma is not a reason to become a monster. and if a person has a brain, then he won't feel sorry for a monster, no matter how much he whines about a difficult childhood.
Awesome start! Duchovny is a handsome man and I was glad to see Holt in this series, for some reason I thought she was no longer acting. I agree with Mmoloko. Why do they arouse sympathy for a maniac? I hope this is just the beginning, and then it's going to be tough, and we just wanted to show you how it all started. After all, maniacs are not born, but become, and there must be some prerequisites for becoming them. Anyway, we'll see what happens next, but I definitely like the plot.
There were a lot of positive moments in the first episode. Manson is really good, he opens up quietly, he was especially good in the final scene of the series, it looked very powerful. The cast and music are doing their job, we'll keep looking.
Wow, I stumbled across it by accident and it's cool. I've been walking away from the end of "Lascivious California" for a long time, and here you are, Duchovny is back in the saddle, and even on horseback, plus, due to the circumstances, I recently watched a story about this Manson in prison, and I'm still just a wild weirdo, and it's doubly interesting because both the plot and the story itself The era is wildly atmospheric.
At first, it seemed to me that I would watch this show only because of Duchovny. But on the first episode, it became clear that the topic was very interesting. Flower children, the youth of the sixties - that's all, there aren't many movies and TV shows about it, the atmosphere is conveyed well. But the plot is somewhat simple, as it seems to me, apparently, there was not enough money for it.
The actor playing Manson is quite ordinary, never a Hollywood hunk. And it plays well - the penetrating image of a sociopath is created, the look and facial expressions keep such tension. I don't really understand where they saw pity for him in the first episode. Manson himself had a troubled childhood, there was no reason to go to the cuckoo, it would be wrong not to mention him on the contrary. Well done. Hannibal Vaughn in the TV series of the same name is oh so loved, but the character is no less a monster, even if fictional. It's a matter of taste, in short. Imho, the incarnation of Manson is starting to take shape very well.
@Candramelekh: so, for 54 years old, he looks great with both face and body, of course, this is not the young handsome guy from the X-Files, for example, but for that age he's cool.
Not bad! I once read Emmons' book "Charles Manson. The true story of his life, told by himself, " I advise those who want to get into his personality. Creepy-creepy Charlie and his dark charm.
Basically what I was waiting for) I like it, I'll watch it! Spiritual aaaaaa. The picture is beautiful, the music is wow..., the theme, it all comes down to one thing! We need to watch
For me, the main reason to watch the series is David Duchovny in the title role. And the plot is very exciting with its story, and the time in which everything happens is very interesting, at least for me. I highly recommend watching it.
Charles Manson, played by this actor, somehow does not cause fear and awe, only disgust and a desire to laugh. Maybe because he doesn't look like the real Manson, or because of the, uh, "mouse" face.
Oh, I don't share the people's impressions of the cap at all. I was completely bored, despite Duchovny and Dumont.. It's just that the cap should somehow create intrigue and capture the viewer, but somehow I don't even want to watch the next one=\
@JaSoN174: Hi there =) I watch a lot of TV shows, so sometimes I get confused in the abbreviations, can you write the names in full what are "CS" and "WWW"? =)
