I liked the series very much, Vasya inspired mixed feelings - on the one hand, a cool eagle, for whom the words honor and friendship mean a lot, punchy, active, caring for others, and on the other hand, an alcoholic running "over women", that is, his respect, honor and friendship acted only in the male world, and women are just that, purely for entertainment.
It's a good series. They got it a little wrong, but on the whole it's very good. The editing is sometimes ridiculous, as if the story was told, a piece was taken out of it, you will only get the ending
The series is on the verge - between good and very bad. Everything is so clean, no garbage, no dirt and dust, it is especially annoying when the war is shown like this. I won't say anything about the correspondence of history, I'm not a historian, but it seemed to me that the creators really wanted to show Stalin more good than bad. As if they were trying to please both yours and ours. By the way, music is neither for the village nor for the city. In general, there are more minuses than pluses.
Great show! I really liked it. If you believe Wikipedia, then Vasily was what he was shown to be - a golden boy who turned into nothing without a folder + alcoholism destroyed him as a person (and alcohol only does that) and he could not sensibly assess the situation. How I was bombed in the last episodes when they told him: "Sign up and live in peace." No, he destroyed his life to zero and no one cares. I wanted to prove something to someone (apparently the consequences of alcoholism - the brain has already rotted), but everyone quickly forgot about it. In short, I think it's a very revealing story about how a normal person can decompose into complete insignificance due to bad habits. The episode how the hero turned into a marginal was well shown in the series - the episode in the pub. Where Vasily Stalin's friends are ordinary drunks who respect him as long as he has money.
