Um... The series is a continuation of the original series, there was only one movie in between.

A great series, it's just a pity that the ninth stayed here so little:(
And it's very sad that there's only one season with Eccleston, very much. But what a one! Having flipped through the episodes of the first season now, I realized that I have most of the episodes added to my favorites, that there are almost no passing episodes - literally 2-3 pieces. It turned out to be a great start for a new doctor -)
Damn, it's love! The season was just as wonderful, despite its clumsiness in places and visual clumsiness. But the plot, the acting, the humor are so exciting that you don't look at the picture so much anymore) At one time, it was advised to start immediately with the second season of new school, and only then, having imbued with the series, watch the first one, but I did not regret that I started with the Ninth Doctor, this charisma! I am glad that there are so many more episodes ahead :) Although there is a slight chance that there will be no more than the ninth :(
And Jack Harkness is so sweet, charming! Hot! I like him here much more than Malcolm in the Arrow)

How well they made themselves Sputnik 5 this season, and there is no need to bother, there is always a place for a battle, ahahah.
I review the series essentially every three years, and every time I find more and more new facets, although it would seem where. The topic is about a false god, and how we build them for ourselves, as there really are such beings as the Emperor of the Daleks who believe that I have the right to decide everything and for everyone...It is very reminiscent of many church and political figures at all times.
I will not get tired of singing odes to Captain Jack Harkness, because he is a girl's dream in the flesh. A charismatic, charming handsome man who is not afraid to show his feelings, who comes and opens the door with his foot in moments of danger, while remaining the same gallant gentleman. A hot guy to the tips of his nails. Barrowman is my love for the ages.
Mickey and Jackie are also great fellows, how they held Rose, although they really wanted her to stay, and how they both stepped on their throats and did the right thing. Rose, of course, in this situation you understand, and you don't understand - it's impossible to live after what you saw and know that friends are dying there, but to say that you have nothing here for a person who loves you so much... Cruelly. But that's what Rose is all about, a pushy girl, stubborn and rebellious. I love her for that.
This frightening, gloomy chorus at moments with the Daleks is right to the depths of the soul, as if demons are singing in Hell.
What I like about RtD seasons is fantastic, always, but with such a share of everyday and sweet romance. Like with these two programmers promising to get drunk if they survive. It is very touching that attention is being paid to the second plan.
Speaking of birds, Billy and Christopher have amazing chemistry. At the same time, it's not like they've been doing nothing but hugging and holding hands all season, but these looks...these simple words... "You can ask. Didn't it occur to you?", "I can't leave you." He could turn around and leave if she asked, but she wouldn't, because she knows he won't forgive himself for it, and that's why he appreciates her so much. There has always been a lot of care for each other, understanding, arguments between them, but never direct romance, only on the edge, and I like it, I love this, I love something that does not require explanation, as they have.
The doctor and the hard choice are already classics. And you always have to have great courage to take so many lives on your own account. And why is it always him? Because he knows how to do it, he will save worlds, even if others die, but he saves, he acts, he does not sit still, and this is better than empty thoughts. Everyone can talk, but not everyone does what they say. I will always regret and miss the Ninth very much, he really was moderately humane and brutal, he was able to suffer for five seconds, and silently rush into battle, he was able to be funny and kind while no one was looking. I don't know about my favorite Doctor, because after a year I realize that the Doctor is the only one for me, and to single out someone...an incredibly difficult task. Every actor did a great job.

Billy Piper. I don't like her in this series. I've seen her in other paintings. She's a good actress. But there's probably one excuse - most likely inexperienced yet.
There were no tears at all during the season.
I don't know yet why this series attracted everyone so much. And why there is so much hype around it (still).
I hope I understand why the series is so popular.
Limited filming locations.
Ridiculous minor characters.
A cliche on pathos.
God is out of the car. Literally.
But the characters cause feelings and interest to watch this wonderful show further.

А ещё очень порадовали Джеки и Микки в этой серии. Микки вообще молодец, помогает Роуз, даже несмотря на то, что она, по сути, не очень красиво с ним поступила, без оглядки умчавшись с Доктором.
