@Nestin: I didn't notice. Basically, she's shown herself to be hysterical so far. Although women are mostly like that here, I noticed how brainless chickens are, they just panic and scream, Barbara is already just a heroine! It seems to me that this is the cost of the then view of women. But Susan often behaved the same way in the beginning. Let's see if she gets used to it, seems normal.

@alavitka: I also didn't like Vicky at first, but she rehabilitated quickly enough with the help of a Doctor. And I also thought that she probably thinks well, maybe she will turn out to be a smart girl? It will be interesting to find out ☺

Vicky is not Susan No. 2 after all. She has a slightly more adult character. She is more like a continuation of Susan - she is able to solve problems on her own, can accept someone else's point of view, stepping over her own grievances. And, yes, she had a choice of people unknown to her, promising adventures or waiting for a rescue ship and returning to her usual life. And she chose adventure! That's very cool, because Barbara and Ian originally started the journey with "Bring us home, strange old man!". So a new type of companion is on stage!

Oh, I hope Vicky won't be so hysterical next, because even Susan wasn't like that. Maybe, of course, it will be better further, but I was just whispering to myself "Refuse!" when the Doctor suggested that she go with them.
P.S. And falling off a cliff, I wonder how much damage will the TARDIS do? Or is she not particularly killable?

And I like Vicky, she will be a good companion! It also seems to me that any girl next to the First One will be his "granddaughter" almost until the very end of his regeneration.
