Can someone explain why they had to take off their helmets at all, even if the atmosphere + is the same? They are an additional protection system, what kind of unprofessionalism? Fucking Prometheus was staged.

Whether Archer was ill or not, I don't see anything very illogical and extreme in his actions. Saving the cubs could be a step towards preventing war. We know that we have much less strength, and we don't want to take and destroy all the Zindi, even if we had enough strength. Actually, it was a rare opportunity to try to establish contact, or at least to make a part of Zindi have doubts about the Earthlings. And the crew missed this opportunity qualitatively.

@Cognir: by itself - yes, quite. But in this case, the illusory probability of influencing the opinion of a small part of the enemies would have to be exchanged for the inability to complete the main task. That is, literally, as T'Pol said - the lives of twenty insects against the lives of twenty, or whatever, billions of people.
With such chances, they do not sit down to play at the table.

Чем дальше, тем больше мне нравится майор Хейс, который на два сезона отстает от главных героев в опыте взаимодействия со всякой космической хтонью, но все-таки не съехал с катушек в таких дебильных обстоятельствах. А мог бы и психануть.
