SpongeBob becomes on duty at the boat control school, which horrifies Mrs. Puff. He has spent the whole day delivering his speech, and therefore Mrs. Puff allows him to keep his duty uniform for the day. After school, SpongeBob continues to think that he is on duty and is trying to help the residents of Bikini Bottom, which, as usual, leads to chaos. After that, the police begin to search for him as a "dangerous maniac".
