I watched this series and thought "what a cool series", "that's why I'm watching Doctor Who", "that's right, no one has the right to change history just like that.".. And then there was, in my opinion, the biggest lawlessness in the history of the series. The Doctor decided to give up on all his beliefs, on everything that the time lords taught, in order not to feel guilty, in order to satisfy a fleeting whim. His companions were dying and he didn't save them, and now he decided to just take and make all their deaths meaningless. If the timelords were alive, they would, at best, force him to regenerate.

But I was hoping to the end that the Doctor would drop off the rescued at another time. And it will give them a chance for another life, without interfering with the course of history.. But he blundered something))

That's it! This series shows us that the Doctor is not a set of character traits written on a piece of paper. This is a deep, lively character who is NOT static, he changes depending on what is happening around him and who is next to him at this moment. And here we see how far he can go if he travels alone for too long. This is a tragic, therefore brilliant end to the story of the 10th Doctor, everything is as it should be. And here it's not about guilt at all, but about the brakes, which he did not have, since they are usually his companions. And that's why Kristina from the last series would be a bad companion, she's not like Donna or Rose

It was painful to watch him leave them, but the fact that he saved them also became a nightmare for me. I actually thought that he had moved them at the time, then they would have been considered dead and the story would not have changed. Even the captain understood all this and told him everything correctly. Still, he suspected that he would soon die and there were no companions, so the roof had already gone. Here it is, the beginning of the end (((( Infinitely sorry, David is gorgeous.

A very dark series. It is a pity that the Doctor fell into such despair both from the fact that there were no companions at all, and from the prediction of his death. I still did not expect such a disregard for the most important principles from him. In general, the plot of the series turned out to be quite creepy, especially the infected ones.

One of my favorite episodes, which reminds me that the Doctor is not God. And he should remember that. You can't save everyone... Even if you really want to. It's a damn law of nature. There is always a part of history that cannot be rewritten. And all we can do is remember and live on. Sometimes, history is beyond the control of even a Doctor.

On the one hand, the same Donna begged the Doctor to save at least someone, but I think that the very presence of satellites would stop the Doctor from doing this. There would be someone to support him morally, stop him, and he would have someone to protect.

The most terrible series.
The Doctor decided to play God, and nothing came of it. He's really losing his mind here, and this perfectly demonstrates that he can't do it alone. Even when he thinks he can, he can't.
It infuriates and at the same time admires the way they served it.
I hated the Tenth here, which I thought was not possible. Yes, briefly, but still I hated him.

The series is an emotional meat grinder. After it, you can't still look at the Doctor

Come on, damn, I was glad that the Doctor spat on the laws and decided, "I write the rules of time myself! I'm the winner!" FUCK YEAH!
And here this Brooke, instead of rejoicing that she was alive, judges the Doctor's decisions from the standpoint of the INVIOLABILITY of TIME. What does she care about the distant future, enjoy life sitting with your family! How can you just accept what is destined and kill yourself for it? I don't understand.

@MARxLENin: She is the person who sacrificed everything to move humanity forward, in particular in the exploration of Mars. She was also the captain responsible for her team all this time. She is guided by other principles, and even the fact that she decided to destroy the station indicates that the needs of humanity are above her personal desires.

How? Well, how could the Doctor bring Adelaide home so easily after he told about the impact of her death on the future of his granddaughter and all mankind? She is a man of duty, she has fulfilled it. It's a pity that it turned out this way. I thought that he would send the rescued trio to another time and another place to preserve the appearance of their death. Well, let's see where this leads

I recently discovered this masterpiece. And now he has eagerly gone through 4 seasons. But I haven't experienced anything like this before this series. The final dialogue, the events after it and the moment with clippings from biographies made me shiver. And for some time, the creators showed the Doctor not from the best side, and many thanks to them for this, because it is almost impossible to empathize with the ideal Doctor. You can like him, you can love him, but not empathize with him. But after this episode, everything changed. A wonderful episode and a wonderful work of the entire film crew

Not a series, but an emotional roller coaster. It was very cool from the very beginning of the episode to build this feeling of inevitability, when you know that the team must die, and this makes you empathize with it even more, but you understand that you can't trample against the laws of time.

I was very afraid that the authors would break the law of their own universe and allow the Doctor to save the team. In the world of Doctor Who, in fact, there are no rules and seemingly impossible things happen all the time. The only thing that has always been inviolable is the prohibition to influence fixed points in time. And as soon as I exhaled with relief, when the Doctor left the station after all, he turned around and went into a dressing down.

It's hard to look at the Doctor's madness. It's scary to imagine how much anger and helplessness against time has accumulated in him over the centuries of travel. To look at all these deaths and not be able to do something about it. I like that the Tenth Era works with these emotions and shows the ambiguity of the character. And the Doctor has a dark, selfish, cruel side, which the Tenth has shown us more than once (just remember how he acted with the Family in the two-part Human Nature / The Family of Blood).

I am glad that the authors finally condemned his act. The dialogue with the captain at the end is incredibly powerful, and I just applaud the act of Adelaila, who, unlike the Doctor, was able to look at the situation soberly and do what was necessary.

For me, this is definitely the strongest episode of the series at the moment. Bravo.
