When I started watching the series, I took the book... almost everything is word for word...impressive we only missed one moment...The moment when Pontius Pilate sentenced Yeshua
@vk273023: you can't fit every letter of a novel at 10 o'clock) But such a reverent attitude to the text of the original source is admirable and, of course, only to the benefit of the film adaptation.
I watch this series to get acquainted with the work of Bulgakov before the 11th grade. I didn't expect it, but it's quite interesting and I'm starting to get sucked into the plot, despite the fact that I'm not a fan of literary classics
There are two film adaptations of my favorite novel "The Master and Margarita" In the film adaptation by Yuri Kara, the cast that corresponded to my ideas about the characters of the novel when I read it, but such a poor budget that it is very striking and Kara failed to immerse me in the atmosphere of the novel, everything is somehow in a hurry hand and crumpled. Although Margarita is a role just created for Anastasia Vertinskaya. She's the epitome of Margarita, for me. Woland, for me it's definitely a Gaft. But something didn't work out. In the Bortko series, the cast, the music and the scenery are all good. That's just Margarita caused rejection, the long-term image of Maria Shvetsova from "Secrets of the Investigation" was too ingrained in my brain and I couldn't get away from it. Although if you think about it, well, who would have played better? It is not known. After all, no one is better than Bortko at conveying so well what Bulgakov conceived and described in his novels. It conveys the spirit of the novel-as if the characters and time come out of the book and appear on the screen. The series is my favorite. I have watched it and will review it from time to time.
When I read the book back in school, the places where it was told about Yeshua and Pontius Pilate seemed so boring that I quickly ran my eyes over the lines and did not really remember their story in the book. And here, it was so interesting to listen! Maybe even because of age, it used to make you sleepy...
As I agree with you) after the film, I also decided to reconsider. Of course, the interpretation makes sense to be there and the picture is good. But I love this film adaptation because of the closest content. And what kind of actors and musical accompaniment. Oh, Bortko and all the actors, but in our time of visual, it would have turned out to be juice at all) Although the cat doll would not fit in here, and it is in this version that he is somehow mesmerizing and seems to fit perfectly😸
Your comment is like a balm for the soul) I reread the book at first, now I have taken up the series) I had a feeling that the whole of Russia appreciated this film, except for me.... And I'm ready to fight for my position. The movie is bad
I've been wanting to return to this series for a long time
Nevertheless, there are still warm feelings for him, despite the weak camerawork and low budget. It is clear that the creators love Mikhail Afanasievich's novel and treat it with great respect
P. S Bezrukov in the role of Yeshua is just a godsend
I decided to reconsider after watching the new movie. After all, it is not a film adaptation, but rather "based on motives". And I liked this series precisely because of the book, and the cast is successful, in my opinion.

The series impressed, I didn't even notice how time flew by.
