The series is a good example of how you can save very well on the production of a video sequence, but at the same time do a really good thing.

Up until the last couple of seconds of the episode, I wanted to ask how Otae knew that Gene had small testicles.

It's funny, cute to tears, and the ending is gorgeous - very much in the spirit of Gintama :) I agree with @shei350 - it's very cool to show how you can make a wonderful story without fighting, action and special effects using only dialogue.

In general, I like that there are so many "home" episodes in Gintam, where we just follow the characters on ordinary, non-adventure days.
