Очікувала чогось більш мистецтвознавчого, а тут більше психології. Деякі висновки здалися суперечливими та надуманими, більше схожими на гіпотези, ніж на факти, але цікаві точки зору. Ніколи не замислювалася, наприклад, наскільки ж навколо нас багато нагадувань про смерть і наскільки багато всього в мистецтві пов'язано зі смертю, а зараз сприймається так буденно й звично. Наприклад, ті ж фото, яка частка з усіх фотографій -- люди, яких вже не існує?
Ще замислилася над тим, наскільки ж молода наука археологія, трохи старша за психологію, років, може, на 50 чи 100. А здається ж, що всі ці знання завжди з нами були...
Зацікавив експеримент, в якому люди ставали більш жорсткими до групи з протилежними поглядами перед обличчям смерті. Хочеться продовження цих досліджень, повторення на інших групах, інших вибірках, з іншими механізмами експерименту, бо феномен виглядає багатообіцяючим, але висновок типу "готові захищатися" абсолютно невиправданий. З таким же успіхом можна сказати: "готові нападати", та й ще багато чого іншого. Трохи про це ще поговорили на прикладі поховального мистецтва етруської цивілізації, але, знову ж таки, чи причина справді була у протистоянні з Римом?

Why are most experiments so weak? With a red stripe on the beak, for example. Have you tested the hypothesis on other birds and animals, on other stimuli, or under different conditions? I'm not even talking about people. And why, I wonder, in the Paleolithic people are biologically active!!! women's bodies with large breasts and thighs seemed more attractive, and over time they suddenly became biologically active! more attractive skinny bodies? Do I see a contradiction here? The fact that the Egyptians made markings of their drawings and drew bodies in certain proportions, is it somehow related to biology? What nonsense is this?
Oooooh, like a detective story with the discovery of these Greek statues, it was so interesting to watch!
Interestingly, I've never noticed that ancient Greek statues are also unrealistic and real bodies can't look like that. But the dynamics and movement were cool, the model became more attractive right before my eyes when I changed my pose.
