The third season is clearly a failure. Of course, it is interesting to observe events in two universes, but in this case I would not say so. Things beyond the edge have become less interesting, as if the writers have run out of ideas. What can not be said about the last 2 episodes. That's where the fun began. And we need to take a break to make sense of what is happening.
That's when everything turned upside down.. it's obvious to look further without a bottle and reasoning with yourself is impossible, you can go crazy))) The moment with Olivia was very strong, and I immediately remembered NCIS. And chjert, how sorry they were, especially Peter. It's good that he has such a brilliant Walter, he will always come up with a way out, even if there isn't one.
@proustfiend: the screenwriters obviously didn't have enough of all that eccentricity earlier, they decided to turn all those existing worlds and time upside down) And it's really a very interesting batch turned out for season 4))
"I can't change the past, because it has already happened, and it will be a time paradox, so you can change your mind, and change the past, and it won't be a paradox."
Hmm, an interesting phrase was said by the Observers at the end ... It turns out that in this series Peter fulfilled his purpose and ceased to exist.... And the universes turn out to be looped.... Damn, fuck knows what they've done :))
It is unclear if this is a paradox with the device, then where did it originally come from and why is it fixated on Peter? And where are these observers from?
@Yoruichi: that's the meaning of the paradox, it's a vicious circle that starts with one thing and ends with the same thing. Some actions influenced the creation of this device, and thus our heroes in their time must send the details of the found mechanism through a wormhole 250 million years ago, so that they, in turn, reappear in our time. Simply put, the details found in 2010 need to be sent to the past in 2025, otherwise our heroes from 2010 will not find them and the future will change with unclear consequences.
For me, the ending turned out to be predictable, I already understood the idea when Peter was "temporarily losing his memory" (actually recovering from time travel). Although the ending is not bad. Saving both worlds was worth the happiness of the main couple of the series. I love when everything is in balance.
Two more seasons? I wonder if the topic of interaction between the two worlds will develop further? Migration, trade, technology exchange?
I'm just laughing. Brain removal. But I liked the absolutely charming Olivia and Peter from the future together. What I've been missing for so long, at least some meager plus. Walter was really immensely sorry.
Wow, a powerful finale of course. In general, it would be funny if the series was suddenly closed after the third season: everything seems to be natural, and at the same time so many questions arise.
I can no longer evaluate the seasons separately, because the series Fringe for me is a single story and absolutely everything is perfect in it. I can only say that the final here has been twisted so much that I need time to recover. As I understood it, while Peter was in the mechanism, he saw the future, but I did not understand what influenced this future. Judging by the words of Walter from 2026, it was influenced by the fact that Peter got into the mechanism. Another paradox? After all, he calmly came out of it and nothing hindered him, moreover, he united both worlds, whereas in the future the other world disappeared. Unclear. At the expense of the observers, there was such an idea that Peter was their, so to speak, project, they moved him in time to save the worlds that day, that is, he should not have been in principle, that's why an observer saved Peter and Walter in childhood, Peter had a goal. Something like this.
P.s. Gg from the future are some kind of emotionless, Olivia was killed, even if someone shed a tear, and her death came out improbable for this series. She escaped from other worlds, endured experiments, participated in shootouts and much more, and her Alter Walter killed her with an ordinary pistol in the middle of the street, why didn't he kill her before? Well, at least it wasn't cliched, without unnecessary talk, a bullet in the forehead.

Very interesting, but nothing is clear!
