Description
A solitary scholar discovers an ancient bottle while on a trip to Istanbul and unleashes a djinn who offers her three wishes. Filled with reluctance, she is unable to come up with one, so the djinn tries to inspire her with his stories.

That's not the word - the final and the last third are nowhere at all.
The first three stories are really more interesting than the fourth - the final one. These first ones as a whole could be developed, their plot could be completed, so to speak, where there is a slack. Well, on the 4th ... it seemed to me more uhm mentally from the teaser, but here! It is crumpled, strange and raises many questions. And it doesn't really look that romantic.
I ended up feeling sorry for Gene anyway. Although everything seemed to be fine.
Her third wish was to forget her acquaintance with the genie.
It's just that the genie was just packing into a bottle at the time of its execution (he locked himself up)
Exactly - a sketch. There was an idea and a desire to implement it. And there was no idea where to develop the idea.
The ending let me down
It was interesting about King Solomon, I started Googling - there are mentions of jinns and this whole story in the Koran, it's interesting.
About the fact that the story is not recorded as it really was - here, in my opinion, an interesting reference on the one hand to the plausibility of the sacred texts. And on the other hand, a curtsey towards feminism, they say, in fact, women were in the center, but they recorded it wrong.
I didn't like the love line a little bit - for some reason I remember that djinn couldn't influence love, they say it's not in their power - and here it's quite a love between a djinn and a woman. As if not according to the canon. And also love = sex, and after the words about love, we actually observe sex.
It was interesting to watch the tandem of the two main actors and the chemistry on the screen.
В итоге прямо понравилось. История простая, но зато очень красиво рассказана. Не удивилась, когда увидела, что это от создателя "Безумного Макса", там тоже очень компактно всё было по смыслам, зато во весь опор по подаче. Имхо, так и стоит делать в современном кино, когда уже все снято)
Тронуло местное определение любви и его воплощение, и Тильда потрясающая. Тут вот вообще запросто можно было пережать, а у нее вышла очень верибельно, буквально знаю таких людей.

Но я ошиблась, здесь же мне понравилась задумка, что рассказ идёт именно о джине.Фильм в полне понравился, концовка меня немного расстроила, но это лишь из-за того, что ожидания немного другого
Это меня и привело к фильму.
Картинка красивая, история оставляет немного печальное и задумчивое настроение.
Есть ощущение недосказанности как будто есть основная линия а ответвлений нет. Не знаю можно ли назвать это минусом)
В целом фильм очень понравился.
Такое не скоро из головы выветрится (только смотреть стоит в спокойной обстановке а не на ходу)
Ведь если посмотреть под правильным углом джин это не больше, чем плод воображения главной героини. Созданный её способным на невообразимо яркие фантазии мозгом.
Созданным для того, чтобы справиться с тем одиночеством, глубину которого она не в силах даже осознать в силу своей эмоциональной ограниченности о которой она сама не раз говорила.
По сути истории рассказанные джином это не больше чем проекция жизни главной героини.
Предательство любимого человека и в дальнейшем полного пренебрежения ею.
Желание создать семью, но при этом неспособность удержать то счастье которое семья может дать. Отчасти в силу обстоятельств в виде потери ребенка
Ну и в конце концов жажда знаний, которая не делает по итогу счастливой.
Даже то желание, которое она загадала говорит о том, что она понимала, загадай она чего-то большего и иллюзия бы ушла, т.к. джин бы не смог бы этого испольнить. Да и придумала она его его только для того чтобы справится с одиночеством.
Если посмотреть под этим углом и не забывать про потрясающий визуал, то фильм достоин очень высокой оценки.
Мораль сводится к тому, что в конечном итоге всего чего мы хотим это просто взаимной любви. При этом часто даже не понимая этого.
