Description
Bad-boy Travis is exactly what college freshman Abby needs and wants to avoid. He spends his nights fighting in underground boxing matches, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. But Abby wants nothing to do with Travis. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance, Travis offers her a simple bet: if he loses his next fight, he must remain sex-free for a month. And all the characters were made dumb at the same time. Shipley was charming and masculine in the book, but here he's kind of effeminate. America was blonde, smart and with character. Parker was smart, gallant, and handsome. It was clear how he attracted the heroine, and in the film he is again some kind of idiot.
And Travis gave her a puppy, and then he brought the neighbor's cat...
In short, the movie is boring. Only the names of the characters and a couple of phrases from the book are here.
The film is very funny in places, which makes it better, especially if you disconnect from the expectations associated with the book. And I was pleased with the Easter egg in the form of "After", which Shipley watches on TV in one of the scenes 😅

Dylan, of course, is handsome! Nevertheless, I was constantly ashamed of his character, who was made into some kind of hysterical woman... According to the book, I imagined Mad Dog to be completely different, I remember exactly. He's a fighter there, not a muslin young lady who runs away and gets drunk, having misunderstood the girl's correspondence.
I didn't see a special plot in the film at all, although in some places it was funny to watch what was happening on the screen. You definitely won't want to watch it a second time. A second-rate kinzo for 1 time to kill the evening. At first, I hoped to see the development of the relationship between Abby and Travis, but when a whole month of their lives was simply squandered, hope left me. Of course, the source code in the form of a book also does not differ in special artistic value, but at least the characters were revealed in more detail there. In the film, everyone remained empty and flat with no explanation of their motivation and almost no past, so they did not cause any emotions when watching.
I won't say that the film is bad, it's just neutral. It doesn't leave an aftertaste, but you can take a look once. I should reread the book, or something...

Актеры мисткаст да и игра их близка к полену.
Увы, а могли снять хороший ромком ведь.
Знаете, бывает иногда так плохо, что становится хорошо. Как Комната с Томми Вайсо. А тут просто плохо. Выключила посередине фильма.
Но так даже лучше 🤔

По поводу мотивации, тоже согласна, так как я когда-то читала книгу, то понимаю почему они сразу не сошлись. Но людям которые не читали, будет не совсем понятно.
Юморные сцены вытащили для меня этот фильм.
Должна была быть история любви, а получилось третьесортное кино ни о чём.
Но мне очень нравится, потому что нет клипов на 5 минут и томных взглядов, только смех до слез и немного драмы
