I will not trample New mutants into the mud - the film has a difficult fate without it. It's no joke, the date of its premiere was postponed for several years in a row: that he did not cross paths with the second Deadpool, that he did not compete with X-Men: Apocalypse, that he did not dare under the feet of the Dark Phoenix, then Disney after buying the studio Fox didn't know what to do with him. Naturally, fans of Marvel comics had concerns about the quality of the final product and ... yes, chuika did not disappoint. This is not the worst movie comic from the line about mutants, but it is dangerously close to anti-meddling. Thanks to the authors for trying to bring genre diversity and bring innovations to the cramped scheme, Magneto got angry once again for no reason and decided to kill Professor X's students, but he could have tried better. "New Mutants" is a teenage horror film in which the screenwriters mixed "The Breakfast Club" (troubled teenagers who get used to each other in isolation), "A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Warriors of Sleep" (entourage of a mental hospital + something bloodthirsty, trying to cut down the heroes + the last point), " It " (the previous two points + the fears of the characters, which are used to harm), and, of course, the usual "X-Men". All this with a meager budget, which resulted in a closeness close to claustrophobia, an unwillingness to use superpowers just "patamushta", even when the lives of others depend on it, as well as a feeling like watching the pilot episode of the series on the CW channel. Plot twists are absent as a class: everything that seems to you from the very beginning, that's exactly what will happen. A suspicious character will turn out to be a villain, and a strange superpower will manifest itself in that character, with the arrival of which the hell will begin in an institution for young talents. Moreover, taking into account the planned trilogy, which, of course, will never happen again, it was possible to get more supplies, and at least hang some guns that would fire in the future. There is not even a scene after the credits. It's unthinkable! Only footage from previous parts of the franchise. No wonder the movie has been on the shelf for so long - there are many reasons not to show it without Deadpool, Apocalypse and Phoenix. On a budget, the horror bet didn't work because it's not scary, etc. It's sad that it's on such a minor note that we say goodbye to the series about mutants. P.S. Oh, no, I still trampled into the mud. P.P.S. Okay, in my opinion, this type of horror is still better than a couple of past major films about the X-Men, although its authors were unable to develop their ideas in the right direction.

I'm only interested in one thing, how can you still shove characters from 00s movies about schoolchildren like "I killed without regret with a stone fuck, I don't need anyone, everyone pisses me off" and not feel ashamed. I'm embarrassed to look at such characters. Who can consider them cool?

It's just noticeable how the film suffered in the production hell. It's like they've been cutting out of him for over an hour. But he's not bad and could make a good movie.

P. S And Anya is the fire
