A still from "Tracker"

CBS channel has renewed the crime drama "Tracker" for a second season. The series, starring Justin Hartley from "Smallville", had time to go out only four episodes.

The project premiered on February 11 right after the Super Bowl, which probably influenced the ratings of the first episode: it gathered 18.4 million viewers and became the most watched premiere of the channel since "Young Sheldon". However, the following episodes showed good ratings: on average, each episode is watched by about 7 million people.

The project tells about a lone tracker Colter Shaw, who travels around the country and for a fee helps relatives or police to find missing people, as well as solve all sorts of mysteries. At the same time Colter has to deal with his own family problems.

The premiere of the next — fifth — series of the project will be held on March 17.

very surprising. considering the fact that the project has a whiff of series from the noughties, I was sure that it would not last more than a season. But it's also good: we'll take a look. so far, it's not wow at all, but you see, you can throw some kind of end-to-end plot further.

@whostakoslavegod: is there a whiff of TV series from the noughties? What's wrong with them?

for me, just the same, the series used to be wow, but now it's very difficult to find something decent that you want to start watching. Fortunately, there are series like this one

Of course, it's amazing. The view rating has dropped 2.5 times, and they are extending it. It would be better to invest money in screenwriters and improve the plots of other shows: Country of Fires, Equalizer, FBI, CSI: Vegas, etc. By the way, CBS had another series "Blood and Treasure", also in the spirit of the 90s, "Indiana Jones" and "Hunters of Antiquities" and with the same rating and terribly expensive. He lasted only 2 seasons, and he could have done more if they had worked out the script.

@Painio: I do not know how bad the Tracker is, I did not look.
But the equalizer is the bottom of the bottom, which nothing will help. So was "Blood and Treasure". These are series of category B or even C, for a narrow audience, for daytime screening.

@Painio: It's not really surprising. The rating dropped twice after the pilot because the premiere took place at the Super Cup. There are always heavenly numbers. Well, as it is, the series is watched by an average of 7 million - excellent figures for the current CBS. For comparison, "The Country of Fires" collects 5 million, and "CSI" - 4.

@Painio: The country of fires was extended for a second season, but in my opinion, it is weaker according to the script, design and other things. The Pathfinder looks nicer

And good! A non-stressful, light series!
