CBS has renewed the series "S.W.A.T." for an eighth season
The series "S.W.A.T." again saved from closure: CBS has renewed the project for an eighth season, despite the fact that the seventh part was to be the last. The publication Deadline reports that the sequel will have 22 episodes.
Last year, the CBS channel closed "S.W.A.T." after the sixth season, but soon reversed that decision and ordered a seventh season of the series, announcing that it would be the final one. Despite the constant growth of ratings for the project, the channel was unable to agree with the studio Sony Pictures Television on the cost of rights to show the series — it was too high. Perhaps the price was reduced, since CBS decided to extend the show.
The project is about Sergeant Daniel Harrelson (Shemar Moore), who is assigned to lead a squad of special forces. Daniel is a native of Los Angeles, so he feels a special responsibility not only to his colleagues, but also to the residents of the city and strives to protect them in any way possible.

To be honest, I'm already tired of Honda.
For 6 seasons, we have already been shown his growth, his love for carrots and his endless desire to make the world a better place.
The character was given a family, a spouse.
They'd better let him go.
Since the 6th, if not the 5th season, the series has stopped catching on so much.
I hope season 8 will be a relaunch in the form of some new series about special forces, or it will only be more cheerful and fresher
Plus, he makes ratings at the expense of his fanbase and skin color. It is very difficult to find an equivalent replacement for him - a black man with such a fan base. And the series is very much based on the problems of African Americans in L.A.
Well, let's take a look..
It's just a pity that there won't be some old characters 💔
