Despite the obligatory corpse (or even more than one) in each episode, the viewer will not see the slightest cruelty or bloody details, even the footage of the murders themselves is missing. Everything is decent and almost chaste. The stories are a bit perfect, a bit old-fashioned and far-fetched, with slightly artificial intrigue and often predictable twists. On the other hand, the series is not positioned either as realistic or at least serious, or as flawlessly logical or exquisitely puzzling. But there are wonderful views of extremely picturesque places - various gardens, parks, monasteries and estates, and not only in England.
It is delivered, removed and mounted quite simply. The series is short, the action develops without boring details, but with funny details, funny situations and witty remarks. Good casting and acceptable acting. Interesting main characters, different, each with their own story and background, they form a wonderful duo and create the basis of the series. The rest of the characters also perform their roles perfectly, although they are quite sketchy. However, the genre does not require depth of images.
It turned out to be a funny, pleasantly entertaining, light, greenhouse-like, bucolic detective story set in extremely cute locations. I watched it with pleasure.
Language. They speak well, quite correctly and clearly, even when they speak "colloquially". There are practically no terrible accents, but there are a lot of botanical names. Sometimes they speak quite fast. It's much easier with subtitles.
