From this episode, I learned about the effect of cow flatulence on the destruction of the ozone layer. Now I'm eating hamburgers with a special frenzy. Let's strike at the lawlessness of cattle!

@Robomanus: Well, the more meat we eat, the more cattle we breed - the thinner the ozone layer (it used to be).

@MARxLENin: Pay attention to Mulder's next sentence: "You're talking about pseudo-science, which is used for political slogans."

@Dr_Porsche: Nevertheless, in many countries, they do not issue licenses to colorblind people, because they will not be able to determine which signal is upper (red) or lower (green) with poor visibility, for example, at night.

Besides, colorblind people are definitely not accepted by the FBI, Mulder probably cheated on the test

@hihahuhiha: in particular, in the Russian Federation they do not give the right to violation of color perception. Well, at least they shouldn't. I only passed the driver's room the second time because of this.

@Alex_KOHb: I'm wondering why it wasn't possible in the movie to just say that he was colorblind. and in the USA, colorblind people can drive

@Alina2007: maybe they decided to reveal the character gradually? We, Vaughn, did not immediately find out about the Scully siblings, for example.
By the way, as far as I know (but I won't say for sure, I've heard about it for a long time and I can confuse something), colorblind people are also allowed to drive in our country if their degree of colorblindness does not affect their driving ability. But in that case, Mulder would not have been allowed to drive here - but well, as at a horizontal traffic light, he would confuse the colors.

A great series, keeps you on your toes until the end credits. And television is like that - it destroys not only individuals, but also entire societies. And yes, Scully is well covered :)

@Ryouchi: Yes, it seems like it turns out that the Negro is working with the smoker, on two fronts. So there is no faith in his words. He also said that the source of that source is unknown.

@sociolog_melvas: On the contrary, it seems to me that the informant has been revealed from a new angle. Mulder accused him of cowardice and unwillingness to risk his life. But the informant said that he was ordered to kill these two, but he hoped that Mulder would find them sooner, get evidence. Most likely, the informant finds out what the Smoker is up to, working for him, and in every possible way tries to push Fox and Scully into this case, while risking exposure and his life very much.

The series reminded me of the one where people were given signals to kill through electronic devices - an elevator, a parking meter, a coffee maker.

Maybe this is a continuation of those developments?

@francuaza: At the very beginning of the episode about the very first patient, the doctor said that it was all because of an increased dose of amphetamine. And when Scully went to the hospital, Mulder asked if it could be because of the amphetamine. He was told that he did not. Add two and two together - the doctor cheated at the beginning of the series.

@francuaza: He and Scully lived in this motel. Scully had a glitch at this motel that Mulder was handing the tape to a smoker. Mulder decided that the glitch was not complete, but only someone had replaced it. And when the doctor's phone number matched the motel number, he realized that it was a doctor in a car with a smoker.

It's a great series, it's strange that it's not included in the mythology of the X's. It can be said that it is the key one.
It's a good investigation, Scully did a good job of it. Fire!

MULDER: So you think that because Patnik saw this war criminal on television, he was somehow inspired to go out and murder these people?
SCULLY: Well, recent studies have linked violence on television to violent behavior.
MULDER: Yeah, but those studies are based on the assumption that Americans are just empty vessels ready to be filled with any idea or image that's fed to them like a bunch of Pavlov dogs and go out and act on it.
SCULLY: But they believe that the causal connections are there, Mulder.
MULDER: They, studies have also shown causal connections between cow flatulence and the depletion of the ozone layer. What you're talking about is pseudo-science used to make political book.
