To call this film a filer or not significant for the plot, you need to watch it superficially and generally without delving into the dialogues, not only of this particular film, but also of the last 2 episodes of the series. I watched the finale and the full-length in one gulp and saw a lot of obvious connections, to the point that Spike literally quotes Vincent in the series finale, this film deepens the perception of the final episodes so much that it almost gives you a new perspective. This film is not just mandatory because it is an extra reason to return to the beloved atmosphere and to the beloved characters, it is a very important plot addition to the series, after which I want to revise the finale with the perspective that the film gives.
a good story, and every found reference to the series pleased)
in the beginning, I couldn't help thinking that Vincent looked like the way I always imagined Sirius Black... and then he took and put on a wizard's hat)
like for the fact that everyone was eventually saved by 3 cameo grandfathers on the cornfields, I was glad to see them 😂
A good full-fledged addition to the original story.
Although the events of the feature film take place between the 23rd and 24th episodes of the original series, it is worth watching it after the end of the title — there are too many references here that otherwise risk simply flying past the viewer.
The plot differs little from the usual investigations that the Bebop team had to conduct in many episodes. The difference here is only in the presentation — with additional timing, it turned out to add a little more characters and draw beautiful plans.
There are more dialogues and just atmospheric silent tie-ins. This greatly changes the perception of what is happening and is a little confusing. For 20+ episodes from Bebop, you expect a completely different dynamic.
A good addition to the story turned out, experimented with the feed and added a few more touches to how capitalist humanity unsuccessfully tries to hide from its problems in space.
A must-see movie for everyone who liked the series, there is not much Bebop.

In general, this plot can be adjusted to the current coronavirus, it will go with a bang if you paint everything correctly.
The film would be a little podsokratit, 2 hours is a lot, cut extra scenes and there will be a good movie.
I was glad to see the whole team assembled. Just like in the good old days. All together. Only Ed, Ein and Jet showed unfairly little.
