Yes, anyway, the Australian version is much better, more interesting and juicier than the American remake. That's why he's been living for 4 seasons. although we must pay tribute, the American version was also very good!
@mako45: Of course I've been watching it since the very first season! true, I came to him through the American version, but these are nuances :) by the way, the Australians surprised me unexpectedly, they make good TV shows. In addition to Rake, about a year ago I also watched "This is not my Life" (a semi-fantasy thriller, detective), I was also very pleased, two heads above the American "Pine" (the series are different, but the plots overlap in some things)
I don't watch a lot of Australian TV series, "Straits" with Brian Cox on a whim, I can only remember, but this one specifically... It's not for nothing that the Americans tried to launch their remake - this already says a lot. Let it be technically simple, not bright, without director's and camerawork delights, BUT the plot, dialogues and acting at a very high level more than pay off the controversial disadvantages. An enchanting comedy with a touch of drama - what else do you need? And judging by the comments on the season, no one is watching it... At the same time, people comment on the "Head teachers" from HBO with pleasure, although it's not clear where to laugh there, imho, but people are watching... Although maybe I have a problem with humor and I don't understand something?
@mako45: I kept thinking, why do I know the name "Straits" so well?! I remembered - I watched it! :) and I watched it a long time ago, when it just came out. back then, there didn't seem to be a comment function on the site. It's not a bad series.
I've been waiting for season 4 to come out. It was a long break. I thought it wouldn't be anymore. but I liked this season less than the previous ones. I would like to have more cases in court.
I've watched it, and I hope I'll watch it again, although getting into parliament is clearly the logical end of a lawyer's career. Unless the scriptwriters decide to kick him out of there for some epic offense to the people of Australia.
