I'm probably not a very picky viewer, but the pilot came to me. I accidentally saw it in the new products and looked, now I will look. A variety of characters for every taste. There is an Indian nyashny newcomer, impudent and audacious, tightening bolts - the savior of everyone and everything and an elderly almost sunk luminary with compromising evidence on the entire hospital. The latter, of course, is a notorious scoundrel. The more interesting it is to look at the confrontation of the brazen-audacious superman and the disappointment of the newcomer that will come sooner or later.
The series is not bad for background viewing. I started watching when I saw Matt in the main roles, I liked him in the Good Wife. The only thing I can say for sure, from the point of view of medicine, is very weak. They would like to change the medical consultant. Matt's hero "shines" with knowledge and experience in front of a brand new intern, but in fact this is the level of the 6th course of honey O.O
After House, all these series where doctors, with pathos, giggles and hahankas solve problems, seasoned with drama, look somehow sad, even the last seasons were hard to watch, because everything is boring... I thought maybe something serious would happen... another glossy and glamorous series...
@oliverwilde: as for me, that anatomy is very good at both drama and medicine. there are really a lot of interesting diseases and cases, here, as for the pilot - this.
@Gwend: Anatomy is certainly a drama, more precisely a melodrama, but it cannot be called medical. The resident, though not an ambulance, is still a medical series, which is interesting
@ramzy: can't you just?) and it's okay that more than half of the most successful medical cases from the anatomy have now migrated to other similar series + there's a lot about the hospital there? and in the resident, at least so far, mostly rotten in this part, only conflicts with senior hospital staff and clings. by the way, if we paid more attention to the characters here, as in anatomy, they would become more lively and interesting.
@oliverwilde: , all possible medical cases have already been in the series Ambulance, and most of them are close to reality. It was the only full-fledged medical project in history. I understand that it is impossible to repeat it, but if I see even the slightest similarity, I am already glad. As an option, the similarity with the Clinic also works for me. As for Anatomy, I'm not saying that this is a bad series, it's just not about medicine, but about personal relationships in the entourage of the hospital. Naturally, the project is only about medicine, and even if it is 100% truthful, it will turn out to be boring, so the authors have to go to tricks. The Resident's trick is the types of different levels of cynicism. And then every viewer chooses something to taste.
@ramzy: yes, well, you are biased only from the latest in anatomy - plastic patches of abdominal tissue , and the most interesting thing for me over the years is the tree man.
I love the ambulance, and yes, it was fucking great in terms of medicine, but there was enough soap there. and it's the same in anatomy. there is a lot of soap, but a lot about the hospital's structure and a lot of interesting cases from the point of view of medicine.
@Stekliashkina_ua: half of the soap and the plot migrated from the Ambulance to the Anatomy of Passion, and then in which there is very little medicine, only one fuck and finding out who slept with whom and why they are not together, and they remembered about patients or medicine in the very last minutes
A good start. An atmospheric series, well-played situations in which doctors find themselves, where everything goes wrong as it was in the textbook. The only thing I didn't like, the actors sometimes overplay.
The beginning was interesting and intriguing. The appearance of familiar faces in the frame spurred my curiosity. And then the strange shooting angles and ridiculous dialogues began. I was waiting for a competitor to a Good Doctor. And I saw not the first freshness of the medical series. There are a lot of things the creators need to work on. Hurtful.
Well, the pilot copes with the task - he shows that in the hospital you can be safely killed and cover your tracks. Well, it seems to me that the last scene would have been a cool mainfax if Conrad had turned off the life support system after all... But unfortunately, Nick came and ruined everything...
from the banality of the scenes with Conrad and these dialogues...I wanted to vomit))) ooy..and also, the chief surgeon at the appendictomy...mdee all the cliches in one series..but no, wait, a new one has also come out 9 -1-1 )
Emily is of course the love of a lifetime after Revenge, but the series is frankly weak, unfortunately. If they don't swing, I don't think there will be a second season.
I didn't want to look in vain. I was afraid that there would be something similar to the Anatomy of passion, the authors are the same, but the pilot is gorgeous, and without silly sentimentality. An interesting mixture of House and Clinic. I hope it stays that way. It is perfectly shown how patients are not able to assess the qualifications of a doctor, and how doctors with positions and connections ascribe to themselves other people's merits. The only negative is Emily VanCamp, her sweet, lean face actively spoils the picture. And what's funny, judging by the series, there is no diagnosis more complicated than SLE
The head of surgery removes appendicitis. It's already funny. And so let's see, about the scoundrel doctors, something new. Don't just compare with House.
The series for background viewing is not bad, although it is unclear what will happen next And of course a hint of House with lupus fire)) let's see what happens next
And I liked it, I expected something worse. The picture is dynamic, there are funny moments, and the music is perfectly matched) house, anatomy, a good doctor...everyone has their own zest and their own fans, I wonder if they will be able to promote it)
I realized from the trailer that I would be watching. A very good series, hooked much stronger than the first episode of the same Good Doctor. Of course, you can't compare it with your favorite Anatomy, but the series is definitely on the level
Stamp on stamp and stamp drives. My hero is a cynic-misanthrope-sociopath / psychopath in any new series already causes laughter, not admiration, as before. Moreover, he is not in a hurry to strike with charisma. Only prettiness. And anyway, actors are like that... Sleek, model-like, unnatural. And if in House the outstanding external data of Chase, Cameron and 13 at least highlighted and emphasized them more than once as something different from the norm, then this is the same norm; in the "Good Doctor" there is a similar problem, but the main character overshadows all the jambs with his presence in the frame (I'm not talking about the castes of "Clinics"). Everything is too unnatural, and you expect realism from production dramas. I won't look.
The point of comparing the series with a Good Doctor in general, honestly, I don't understand. Absolutely two different series, although the direction is the same. In general, the pilot is very good
It's too much for me. Too malicious, or something. I want to watch because of the main actor and his relationship with the ward, how this ward will change and all that, but... I barely watched the pilot to the end. And indeed, as we wrote above, after Anatomy, not all honey series cling. This one, apparently, is not mine.
Here everyone remembers "The Good Doctor", "The Anatomy of Passion", "House", and I have a nostalgia for the Ambulance, eh. But no one has jumped to the ER level yet, as for me. The pilot is fit, we will see.
It's kind of scary because reading the comments under the medical drama, mentions of House, Anatomy and a Good Doctor are more common than mentions of an Ambulance ... However, joining those who dared to insult this dubious masterpiece - if you are looking for a medical drama, this series is one of the last in the queue for which your choice should fall.
I watched the series only because of the deceased during the simplest operation and LUPUS (they caught up). The background for dancing near the stove will go, a lot of things make you want to sunbathe, especially through the filter of Russian medicine
I will leave my review for this show here. the first thing that was advised for the post-house is to look at this series. - don't get fooled by this. it has nothing to do with house. the show shows a look at the problems of American commercial med. the system. I leave the review - having watched only 10 episodes, where three episodes treated VIPs: a billionaire, a luminary of medical science, an athlete. kezhuala is at least here, gg is so arrogant that house is just bambi. the rest is a terrible lack of experience understandable only to local aborigines. really is a fucking piece of fucking shit. in a word - fuck-her-oh.
It would have been more epic if Conrad had turned off the patient after all, but Nick came and immediately the end of the series became something different
It's just awful. After Konrad's ridiculous and pathetic monologue, I wanted to turn it off, but decided to watch at least one episode. And yet she broke down on the dialogue of the evil doctor with the Nigerian resident. This one is so bad that I can't even believe that someone liked it. Some primitive medical serials have gone now. At first, an extremely unsuccessful Good doctor (but at least Sean is wonderful there), and now this is what you don't understand. It's a pity that it passed by again.
I will probably relate to those who liked the first series. I will not compare it with the Doctors of Chicago, nor with a Good Doctor. It's just another project. And he catches on with different characters and characters.
In my opinion, the series is beautiful. It's a pity for the intern doctor, especially considering that on the very first day he saved a girl who had already died...
They wrote above that there is no glamorous series at all. Here is the anatomy of a glamorous passion) Or a good doctor, where doctors always have styling, makeup, etc.)) Here the picture is more or less real
Mixed emotions after the episode, some sense of secondary is present, as if I have already seen all these medical cases in other series. Plus, she may have looked inattentively, but she did not understand the structure of the hospital and the specialization of doctors. It feels like everyone is in a heap - surgeons, therapists, emergency room, nurses. Nick works both in the waiting room and with surgeons. Either the hospital is so small, or I am spoiled by TV series about larger clinics, where all this is divided) The episode when the doctor informs the family about the condition of patients is disgusting. How much empathy should a doctor lack in order to drop: "Prescott is dead" and move on? It was intended as black humor, apparently, but this moment struck a chord with me. I immediately remembered the "Ambulance", where novice doctors were taught how to report such news, showed how hard it was for them to do it, in general, they were revealed from the human side. In general, according to the first series, there seemed to be too many brilliant sociopaths per square meter, so far only the new one looks like a living sympathetic person. But I've liked Matt Zuhri since The Good Wife, so I'll watch a couple more episodes, maybe I'll get involved gradually.
I liked the pilot. When Conrad was voicing the rules to a beginner, there was a whiff of Anatomy)) the confrontation between doctors and the head of the hospital is interesting. In all the medical series that I watched, the head doctors were on the same side with the doctors. Here, the head doctor is still a jerk.
The only thing I can say for sure, from the point of view of medicine, is very weak. They would like to change the medical consultant. Matt's hero "shines" with knowledge and experience in front of a brand new intern, but in fact this is the level of the 6th course of honey O.O
I am very glad to see Matt on the screen again

The series is interesting in domestic politics and the views of medical workers on it.
