@FRFD: I understand you more than anything. I love a variety of TV shows - both action and various melancholic ones where a lot is said and the emphasis is on cool directing and dialogues. Here I did not see this, everything was done at the average level, there is no individuality in it that catches (for example, with Tom Hardy, the series was also mostly without action, but insanely atmospheric, well shot and the actor plays perfectly). I'll give you another chance for 1 episode, but so far there are zero emotions at all.

@FRFD: I thought I was the only one who didn't get the episode huh. I didn't read the book, 46 minutes passed while I was barely suppressing a yawn. The actors are great and I liked a few scenes, but I didn't get hooked on the series and that's it.
I didn't really feel the atmosphere, and if there were hints of it somewhere, they felt somehow vague.

I also watched "Darkness" and I just wanted to look further. And then I somehow wasn't particularly interested, I turned on a random series. If they say that it was filmed according to the book, maybe it's not even better to watch. I think that movies and TV series based on books rarely become successful. In the meantime, judging by the enthusiastic comments, the book is cool and I want to read the book :D

@swiftie13: Yes, yes, there is such a thing! It also didn't intrigue me at all and, mini-spoiler, I looked at the second episode later and still wasn't intrigued. The third and fourth series have already been released, and I think we should take a look at them, maybe the series will SUDDENLY become just as cool for us :)

@FRFD: actually, I doubt it very much x) I wanted to watch another episode, because a couple of moments were still good. But I don't see the point in watching 46 minutes of boredom for 4-5 minutes of tension.

Seriously, the plus and minus are only agreement or disagreement with someone. @FRFD: Скажу честно, мне сериал тоже ОЧЕНЬ вкатил. Но! Вы описали свое мнение, с нормальной аргументацией, за что минусовать то? Я тоже с вами не согласна, хотя бы насчет атмосферы, ну и что?! Одно дело, когда люди просто пишут грязь, а другое дело - нормальный коммент. А насчет другой системы, полностью согласна!
Да не за что) Вы один из немногих адекватных людей в комментах сериалов, которые я смотрю, часто вас вижу и читаю с удовольствием. Альтернативное мнение всегда забавно и интересно, если в нем нет грязи.

аааа так мило:) И тоже, опять же, солидарен . Другая точка зрения порой может быть интереснее или даже важнее более распространенной. Кто-то прочитает, например, двадцать два положительных отзыва, подумает что видимо это потенциальный хит, раз его много людей посчитали крутым, а тут увидит двадцать третье и авось призадумается мол может не стоит уж очень ожидать чего-то от сериала :)

Пусть это минисериал, но по мне очень достойно.

@Delfina: Как то же самое? Сериал же настолько отличается от книги, что, по-моему, их даже стоит воспринимать независимо)

@MiraChase:разве что чуток. ну подумаешь, характеры поменяли, функции одного персонажа другому передали, заставили немых разговаривать.. мелочи все это)

@Delfina: Общее впечатление от сериала все равно другое. Взять хотя бы темп повествования и экранное/книжное время, затраченное на различные эпизоды. Та же полярная ночь, которая мучительно (для команды, но не для читателя) тянулась полкниги, в сериале просто пронеслась. И таких примеров достаточно, но спойлерить в комментах к первой серии не хочу)
А характеры поменяли настолько, что в какой-то момент просто перестаешь искать что-то знакомое в персонажах.
Хотя это неплохо для тех, кто захочет прочесть книгу после сериала. И даже те, кто ее уже прочел, смогут после сериала узнать что-то новое об этой истории. Есть тут несколько моментов с очень уж удачной отсебятиной.
