Murray is behaving incorrectly, not honestly and not like a man! He's proposed and he's rushing around and wants to embarrass his bride and frame the whole street.

I feel sorry for Jonas. the way he "solved" the problem is terrible, but it seems to me that if Murray had met his devotion halfway, he would have been able to find an approach to Jonas and direct his devotion in a peaceful direction.

Every time I watch these kinds of stories, I can't understand why women like men like John Morray. Looks are tasteful, okay, but his personal qualities are very so-so. He calmly takes Catherine's father's money, which they give him only because of their "relationship," but he needs to be persuaded to marry. It's okay for him to have affairs and kiss three women at the same time, promising one or the other that they will be together. And the fact that he slept with Clara and left her to work there, while continuing to make eyes at her, is generally terrible. Plus, the murky story of his first wife, whom he covers for. Ah, I can't forget my first love, that's why I sleep so easily with a subordinate and corner other women.
For me, for example, it's strange that for some reason no one falls in love with Dudley's manager, although he's a nicer person as a person (well, nicer to me).
It's strange that Denis finds Morray attractive, because her moral compass seems to be working fine. But she easily turns a blind eye to his behavior because she's in love. I understand that she's young and not experienced in relationships, but I really wanted her to be a little smarter.
I was hoping that this was a series about how a smart girl from outside high society makes her way into people and creates her own business purely by the power of her mind and entrepreneurial spirit. Now it feels like she's been made interesting only to the male protagonist. In general, Denis and Morray's love line is very weak. It's the same as what he had with Clara: just a pretty girl at hand, who can easily turn her head with her amazing coolness.

Uncle Denis and Miss Audrey have the only interesting romantic story in the series. At least at the end of their lives, the old people will be happy.

@Snkdktl: the story is as old as the world, girls are attracted to bad guys, especially when they are so passionate about their business, good at it and charming) and Dudley is a family man with children who behaves with employees exclusively professionally and obviously will not indulge the girls who make eyes at him (or pretend not to notice, or he really won't notice)).

I advise everyone to read the original, if only to understand what this grandiose store really looked like - not the misunderstanding shown in the series, where the tiny rooms of someone's mansion were sparsely furnished) You can also Google his prototype, Le Bon Marché.
