A wonderful comedy, light and funny. Ghosts are wonderful in their own way, and correspond to their eras. Especially the ape-man was pleased with the depth of the image, but the crooked politician with a soldier is no worse, and the poet, Byron's enemy, is just a song. In general, I recommend it!

The adventures of a young couple who got a big old mansion with a motley team of spirits of people who died in this place. The dead aborigines gathered from different eras are active and restless.

There is already a whole family of comedies about a certain number of freaks living in some limited area, or even under one roof. In this series, almost all of these freaks are ghosts, which gives an undoubted novelty to the plot and opens up additional and quite interesting topics for humor and ridicule. The authors of "Terrible Histories" this time tried to create an impressively eclectic set of exotic characters, united not only by the geography of death and life after it, but also by the non-trivial, often tragicomic circumstances of their demise. And all of them, if not complete jerks, are absolute cranks. However, the couple is still alive, too, not a model of intelligence or rationality.

It is precisely the fact that absolutely all the characters are outright buffoons that has become my main complaint about the series. In my opinion, a completely comic effect can be obtained without any grimaces and goggling, and the normal reactions of an adequate person can be much funnier than the antics of exaggeratedly eccentric nedots. It was set and shot decently, mounted without empty "long notes". Casting is not even discussed, they play as they used to and as they wanted, with deliberate overkill, but very talented.

It turned out to be not the most hilarious or hilarious sitcom, a little silly, with several successful, witty and even clever jokes on the history of culture and society, with many less successful and clever ones, at the same time, with a noticeable personality and a certain charm.

Language. Characters from different eras and social groups, therefore, speak deliberately in a variety of ways: accents, style, vocabulary and intonation. In general, it is quite legible and without extreme difficulties, and with subtitles, almost everything is easy to understand.

I came here after the start of the American remake. It will be interesting to compare with almost parallel viewing.

I found out only after the remake was released. I weighed the pros and cons and immediately started watching the original.
"For" the original is the original, ratings, BBC, British humor, a lot more episodes, several actors I know from the TV series Miracle Workers, Broken Pixels (the heroine is also called Alison by the way), The wrong guys/You, me and the end of the world.
"Against" the original with a stretch - the series has not yet been completed.
The "for" remake is exactly zero.
"Against" a remake is a remake, ratings, release time, not a single familiar actor.
I watched 3 episodes and didn't regret a bit. It's a very good series.

Нашла по рекомендации, не пожелела ни разу. Когда такой сериал находишь, думаешь: "Ну как я такое пропустила?" Фани с ее выражением лица, Мери с ее говором (спасибо Кураж бамбею) ну и, конечно, Китти с ее характером - все это шедеврально!

Пишу после просмотра 4-го сезона.
Люди, это самый недопросмотренный{по аналогии с недооцененным, но с этим у него нормально) сериал на свете! Если вы любите тёплые, добрые сериалы, во время просмотра которых вы все время сидите с улыбкой на лице, то обязшательно смотрите Призраков! Это кайф. Короче, всем поклонникам Друзей, ТБВ, КЯВВМ, Клиники...

Не знаю, хватит ли меня посмотреть весь сериал, но серия зашла! Британский юмор в пересказе студии Кураж Бомбей - очень даже! Мне интересно, когда встретятся призраки из подвала и призраки с верхних этажей. Ну а новой хозяйке совсем не желаю спускаться теперь в подвал %)
