how so.... It's strange to see them all in human form.....
and the ending is just jaw-dropping, I really liked it, even though it's open (although in fact everything is clear and the lines in the plot got their logical end), but maybe it's even better this way.
It all came down to the fact that Odakawa had a disease , as a protective mechanism for seeing animals instead of humans. Interesting plot! He was like a jigsaw puzzle from the first to the last episode.
The series is simply fantastic! Definitely the best for me this season. The sound, the seiyu, the script, the direction - I really liked everything, and the shots with the flying car were amazing (there are awesome parallels with splashing water among most of the characters). They wrapped all the lines perfectly: about Odokawa's absolutely terrible past (and I wanted to hug the child), and about the kitty in the house, and about Tanaka, and about the policeman brothers, etc. Sakura turned out to be Mitsuya's killer, it's interesting that judging by the conversation, mom might be aware of her murderous plans, and then the creators just took her and put her in Odokawa's taxi, which even sent a chill down my spine, wow! Apparently, he didn't have time to tell the police that he was picking Sakura up that day, and didn't recognize her? Please give me at least an OVA!.. Or don't let me, such an open end also brought great pleasure. A very cool detail: throughout the series, the lines (especially the background) in the frame were a little blurred, but as soon as Odokawa woke up and began to see people in their human form, the lines became very clear - no more fog in his head.
@Shikisen_Hishune: One user suggested that Odokawa had reported her to the police and was acting as bait, as he had no evidence. He knew that she would get on to him, and now she would just blab about her crime right in front of the camera, and then he would dump her at the police station (or he would be insured). There's nothing to worry about.
@Mr_Knight: When Sakura was walking and talking on the phone, she was holding a pen in her hands, which contains a recording device. Therefore, her conversation is accurately recorded. Throughout the season, this pen walked through the characters, in each episode it appeared first in one character, then in another. And all these recordings can be found on YouTube. And the record for episode 13 ends with another murder.
In the first episode, I couldn't even imagine that such an interesting, twisted plot would turn out in the end! It's a pleasure, from the dialogues to the soundtrack. Of course, the characters look a little strange in human form, but they are still very cute and different, which makes Odd Taxi very different from other anime. I will now advise all my friends, 10 out of 10
One of the best anime I've ever seen. It's a great mix of storylines, answers to all questions, and overall there's a pleasant feeling that you've watched something incredibly beautiful and kind. Shirakawa is cute.
The plot twist wasn't pulled out of the ass, as they really like to do, but it was quite visible from the first episodes, and even the killer was hinted at if detective mode was turned on (one user noticed that on the cover of the Mystery Kiss single) her hands were covered in blood.
Betting less than 11/10 is a crime. I wish there were more similar projects.
"You're still a cat" at the end, right up to goosebumps) And if in fact, then it's an extremely worthy thing! There are a lot of details and characters, and everything is perfectly worked out, everything has its place, everything has its own meaning and meaning. Intrigues and questions are smoothly introduced, and answers to them are smoothly provided. There is no crumpling, which is a big plus for me, because they often try to cram three plots into one episode, and you just can't keep up with the amount of information. Here, everything is measured, the viewer is given time to think. And the atmosphere is tense and sustained, you don't look away. Definitely one of the best anime of this year, I advise everyone, just try not to pick up spoilers before watching
At first I wanted to put a 4 because of this stupid unnecessary chase. Well, Kamon, there were already several police cars chasing Yano, especially since he didn't even have a weapon, what was the point of running off the bridge? But the final twist with the identity of the killer brought back a solid 5 stars.
wow There were so many threads connected, such an interweaving of events, and everything was so smoothly presented. The author of the plot deserves to be fired! By the way, in the comments under the first episodes there was a guess about the theory with animals that it was a disease and it turned out to be true heh In reality, Odokova is such a pig, he himself is like a Yakuza, and Shirakawa in general
Only positive emotions remained from watching, which is now such a rarity. The feeling of anxiety at the beginning and by the end of the viewing turned into something pleasant. Of course, there was a cliche in the form of an explanation from the mouth of the main culprit, but even this does not spoil anything.
It's just unimaginative, how cool it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The ending, of course, was nerve-racking, but I sincerely believe that everything will end well! and I am especially glad that Dobu survived! even behind bars) IT's an AMAZING THING!
I rarely comment on it, but it's a really good anima. Considering that the same type of conveyor has been stamped for a long time, with rare exceptions, it's just like a breath of fresh air.
Great stuff! We managed to predict some points, but in general, he is a very good detective with the intersection of many characters and their destinies. I was pleased with the attention to detail. Anyway, this anime needs an eye and an eye to unravel a complex tangle of intrigues together with the main characters.
Worthy! And I am very glad that the open end, nevertheless, will end with a full-length film. The main thing now is to wait for him!
Wow! Initially, I started watching because of the funny drawing, but by the end I was just dragged out! It's a very cool story! And how did I really get to the last episodes from the fact that they are really people! The moment with the cat in the closet was particularly pleasing. Well, the ending is just top!
A really exciting and interesting unusual story. Special thanks to the commentators of the previous series for their theory that all the characters are actually human, and Odokawa sees everyone as animals. And it didn't seem very logical that the animal characters were shown even when Odokawa wasn't around, although it probably couldn't have been done any other way. But otherwise it's just 10/10
The main twist is not the identity of the killer, but the color of Shirakawa's hair :D I imagined her as a blonde, and at first I didn't even realize who this young lady was.
It turned out to be a very cool series. It's cute and the plot is interesting. It was nice to see everyone in human form in this episode. And they surprised me with the identity of the killer - I went through them all, but I still didn't guess) In the feature film "In the Woods", which repeats the series, there is a normal ending - it shows what happens after Cliff at the end of this series.
Even at the very beginning, it seemed that he just saw the world that way, but because of the identical hands (drawing) in the usual narrative and flashbacks, he dismissed the idea. But what the hell.
It would be interesting to review the series in the original form of the characters.
It's an awesome series! It will definitely be one of the top three wines for me in 2021. (The other two, of course, are SK8 and Uramichi Oniisan.) I don't regret that I didn't watch it then. I think that every vegetable has its time. In 2021, I wouldn't have taken out so much drama at once. And now Odd Taxi has supported me and given me hope. Again. Isn't that a sign of a great story?
@KonnoAkane: Don't miss the feature film yet. There's a recap of the series, but there are additional scenes at the end: the denouement of the finale and what happens next with the characters
It just gets to the heart, as it is, without excessive pretense, it doesn't often come across like this. In this episode, these snowflakes also got into the eye. I've seen another good series.
I didn't fully understand how the images of animals helped him identify people in masks?
The killer twist seemed "overexposed." The girl directly explained the motives - she is the same cat and she was the 4th in line, and so on. And the hero repeated too often that he had seen the wrong girl in a taxi.
The first 2-3 episodes have a slow narrative. It was possible to start immediately with the third episode, with a pistol, and spread the first two episodes further with flashbacks.

Excellent title, nothing superfluous)

It's a good project, but it could be perfect))
