For many seasons, the same thing has been happening with Charmaine: it just seems that she is becoming adequate, and then again she behaves like a fool 😐 I understand all her pain, and how she is trying to compensate for everything that she did not receive from Jack. But season 3 is in the yard. The creators, pliz, give the character some development already. Every time she slips into inadequacy.
Well, the story of Mel's pregnancy is of course predictable) I wonder whose child it is. For the sake of a happy ending (and I firmly believe that this series was created for this), it should be Jack's child) and yet any turn will be interesting)
Well, as much as Hope was a pain, I really missed her all season. And I hope everything will be OK with her 🙁

@Slice_of_nice: I read an interview with the showrunner of the series yesterday, in which she said that Hope was not in the third season because the actress could not fly to Vancouver because of the pandemic. Therefore, they had to rewrite the script to leave Hope in the series, but without her physical presence (and they even had to abandon the scenes of the renewal of the wedding vows of Hope and Vernon, this line was originally going to devote two episodes). If the series is renewed for a fourth season (judging by the rumors, by the way, we have every chance to see a sequel), then all the actors will be vaccinated and so on, and the creators hope to return Hope to the series with:

I think Mel is pregnant with Jack's baby, because she received the test results by email. I was more surprised by the wording with which Mel presented the news of her pregnancy: "I do not know who the father is." To be honest, this is the worst season so far. Hope barely appeared and then by video link, practically nothing happened in the series until the last episode, in which EVERYTHING was just dumped. It would have been better to wait another year, by God, otherwise it was as if the script was written on my knee and I really wanted to release it faster.

This season, unlike the previous ones, is very different in tone - there is too much drama in the characters' lives. It seems that the charm of a small town with its comfort and beautiful views has remained, but now you are constantly waiting for some kind of trick. Apparently, just to make the characters happy is too banal, or at least to dose the troubles that fall to their lot.

This is just the most terrible moment at which it was possible to end the season, although I knew that everything would turn out that way, and then, of course, Jack would blow on Mel (he has the right, because they did not have time to part and even realize what had happened, as she rushed to artificial insemination), but love will win and no one will look at fatherhood anymore. Everything is clear here (if we are talking about a happy ending)... While the lines of minor characters will be more interesting, and so the season is very dramatic.

I postponed this series for a long time because of questionable ratings and reviews, but when I started watching it, I didn't regret it. I like that the screenwriters try to devote enough time to each character, develop their storylines and adhere to the given tone of the character.
I also missed Hope, and was glad that she was at least included in the plot by video connection.
Charmaine's husband is muddy, she kept waiting for the true reason to be revealed, why he needs her and John's children. There was an idea that he was another fake from Calvin, but maybe he was just a non-traditional orientation, who needed a family only for status, and a desire to deprive Jack of parental rights - in order to put himself in the best light, they say, "saved the children from a life without a father," hmm.
Bree is an interesting character, pleased.
It is unclear where Paige disappears. Hiding and on the run-okay, but why didn't she try to contact the child? I sent his documents, but what about the letter? Notes of some kind? Postcards? So that it was not only in the words "mom loves you and will be back soon", but some kind of proof of this, or something. This situation brings sad thoughts, and I hope she is still alive.
Ricky and Lizzie are a sweet couple, it was interesting to watch the development of young characters against the background of adults, and although this contrast with the ages of the characters was created, it was once again proved that hiding information from loved ones, and, moreover, lies do not lead to a happy ending. But I believe that they will reconcile and everything will be fine.
In general, the season turned out to be intense, the finale, as usual, mysterious.

It's quite nice for easy viewing and really resembles Zoey Hart, but Zoey Hart was a little more stylish in the wardrobe and more summery in the atmosphere. But it's also beautiful here in its own way.
