It seems to me that I was euphoric after the first two episodes, because it was difficult to watch this series on a cold head)))
Did they either send the entire budget to something mega-epic in the end, or was there not much of it initially (or did it go to Lin-Manuel Miranda's salary), because IS THAT ALL??? It's kind of disappointing, they just walk and talk, and then they talk more, and then they chop down a Jellyfish in two seconds, well, you can still get fired up... I'm really offended for the Jellyfish: some kind of school came, framed her, killed her, and they also didn't give me normal screen time, because they didn't want to animate snakes (((( #JusticeForMedusa, what is this!!

About talking, by the way! If you close your eyes, then acting does not cause any special questions, but I can listen to an audio book with my ears, I want to watch the series. For the previous episodes, someone wrote how the boy playing Percy is very much underachieving, and I have to agree - where is life??? Talking to the oracle - 😐, arguing with Annabeth and Grover on the bus - 😐, listening to Medusa - 😐, plotting a prank with a package - 😐. Well, my God, there were so many words of praise in his direction from Uncle Rick. It can't even be attributed to youth, there are a lot of little actors who will tear your soul apart with their performance, and then I forget that I even have it somewhere. And I also do not know why Annabeth was shown sulking so often when Medusa told her story (#JUSTICEFORMEDUSA!!!), her facial expression did not change much, it was possible to do it all at once.

In general, something is missing, there is no peppercorn yet. But I do not lose hope that the series is only accelerating so far, that the 4th episode will be released - and it will begin!))

@captain_wood: I absolutely agree about Percy, but I have another question for the writers here. Where is his whole character? Where are Annabeth's sarcastic jokes? Where is his problem (as a child), ADHD? I'm not saying that he's a natural leader at all, but here it doesn't even really feel like he's the main character.
But maybe the series is still accelerating, really. It's just sad to see such an interesting character so bland
(Annabeth doesn't have enough peppercorns either, by the way. She's just smart and serious, that's all. Where’s the flavor??)

@rezernastya: I also slightly misunderstood about Percy, because if you start from the book, then he should be completely different, and not what was shown on the screen. And I didn't understand the beginning of episode 3 at all, somehow everything crumpled up, it was especially insulting for Medusa, even if you think logically, it seemed that she was dangerous and certain skills were needed to kill her, but here they just put a baseball cap on her and that's it. They still have so many trials ahead of them, I hope they won't fail in other series like this one.

@captain_wood: I blame the screenwriters, it's like they didn't finish the role, because in "Project Adam" this actor showed himself very well, I liked the character, but apparently they didn't prescribe jokes and so it goes sluggishly. And the boy is very young, plus a new team, he will not write jokes himself, as the same Johnny Depp did. Still, he does not feel as calm in the role as his older colleagues in the shop)

forty-five minutes of dialogues that are repeated over and over again.. it's not clear at all with the jellyfish, they chopped it up in a minute and not, the only positive thing is the persibet, slowburn is slowburning, as they say, but otherwise... weakly ☹️

No, it's still kind of boring, and the main characters are always with lean faces. Well, damn it, teenage adventure fantasy is supposed to be, perky, active, combative, funny in the end. And they drag themselves around like they're in the water and just talk about nothing. In general, who knows how, but I'll stop there.

On a nostalgic wave, I feel like I'm 11 again, which is nice. I reread the books in the summer, it seems, before I learned about the series — and the whole plot in my head is generally fresh, because of this somehow I don't want to shit (but where without it). It was great to see the camp, the abundance of dialogues in principle would not bother, if it were still accompanied by an appropriate amount of epic. As for the furies, that the Jellyfish is drained somehow in minutes, there is no danger and tension (the story of the Jellyfish is generally so tragic, it deserves a lot of screen time and a bright emphasis on what kind of gods are assholes). It's clear that the series is for children, but... don't children like epic? Tell me, who are the parents here))) It seems to me that if this is for a children's audience, then bang bang bau bau should also be more…
I really like the actor, Percy is a very handsome boy, I can't even imagine what kind of heartbreaker he will grow up to be. Annabeth is difficult to perceive, I've imagined her differently all my life, as well as Grover, Chiron, and Clarissa (well, the last two are not so much in the frame to confuse me). If I basically look at Percy and Grover as familiar characters, Annabeth is just a stranger, I hope I get used to (((Luke (Luke, damn) speaks as if trying to seduce someone (well, those languid slow intonations of his). And in general, there is not enough vivacity and emotionality in all of them, and it even seems like it's not the fault of the actors, but there is simply no disclosure from the script to feel it. The humor is funny in places, like here.

I already have Vietnamese flashbacks of the Heroes of Olympus, will I live to see it (if only I could see Leo and his fire with at least one eye)? I want a simple human adaptation of the Sun and the Star, but it seems to me that I definitely won't live to see it.
In general, the impressions are mixed from the series. Against the background of the fact that I know everything and am just glad to plunge into this world once again, which is part of my identity, everything is just great. But even in comparison with the film, in which everything was changed, at a sober glance, it seems to fall short, and as if it will not reach a full—fledged film adaptation of the entire series (ugh ugh ugh)

A total of 8 episodes have been announced, but if the main characters continue to chatter for 40 minutes from each episode, then the first book will have to be stretched over several seasons. There is no movement, the plot development is slow, the actors have no emotions at all. And so everything started well in the 1st episode 😩🥴

I gave the first two series 4 stars out of five because this is one series divided into two, where everything is galloping according to the book, purely to show the main points and continue to dance. and this series is straight good, straight smooth dynamics, people who have not read the books are shown the growth of the characters and thus they will come to what the readers of the books already know ;)
The jellyfish is straight golden, the Oracle and Grover were very pleased, well, the CANON is straight, and Lin-Manuel who appears literally singing a song is already a tradition, so to speak, a ritual of xD

I didn't even notice how 40 minutes had passed. The jellyfish is simply gorgeous! The basement of the Jellyfish is amazing in size, all its belongings (statues) accumulated during its life there are beautiful. She can be understood, there is some sense and logic in her words. Poseidon is guilty of her imprisonment and the destruction of her humanity, as well as Athena for not figuring it out.. Trying on the main characters made me laugh, "what did you do - kill her sister, and you?" "cut off her head" is the perfect friendship, I think. Send the head of the Jellyfish by Hermes delivery. Interestingly, the head went to Olympus, the Gods will definitely appreciate it. I'm waiting for the next episode)

I love books, after the release of films many years ago I read everything and always read new things in this world. I was trying to figure out what was wrong. I think that's the tone of the narrative. Yes, the books are full of serious moments, there is a place to cry, but also full of humor. Percy is generally a master of sarcasm. Here, somehow, everything is serious or something, it's going a little rotten.

Seriously? If yes. Then it's a complete failure. Percy and Grover's friendship is almost fraternal.
Percy is completely different from our Percy. He's charismatic, sarcastic, just a cool man. And the actor just doesn't show what is needed.

If they wanted to do it not according to the canon and NOT the WAY IT SHOULD be DONE, they could just make another series with different names and a similar plot, my God

Интересно, а где все те душнилы, которые везде и всюду засирали бедные фильмы ( которые мне очень нравились. Лерман и Даддарио были блестящими попаданиями в роли, я так ждала продолжения, но из-за "О БОЖЕ МОЙ, ЭТОТ НЕ КАНОН, КАК МОЖНО ТАК ЖИТЬ", всё отменили, спасибо большое) ?
Я тоже читала все циклы Риордана, у меня никогда не горела жопа из-за расхождения с первоисточником. Но блин, вы серьезно?
Сериал в тысячи раз хуже фильмов, а все пытаются найти в нём хоть какие-то минимальные плюсы.
1) Аннабет никакующая - нет той искры, задора, сарказма. Актриса просто ходит с каменным лицом.
2) Перси будто из класса коррекции - актер симпатичный, но я не вижу вообще ничего в его игре. Где хоть какое то проявление эмоций? Где его лидерские качества? Где вызов обществу, бунтарский дух?
3) С каких пор отчим Перси стал задротом доморощенным? В книгах и фильмах он вызывал отвращение и страх. Ты не понимаешь, по началу, почему они живут с ним, но точно уверен в том, что перечить ему не стоит. А тут какой-то тюфяк, о которого Салли ноги вытирает практически.
4) С каких пор Перси выбирал себе спутников на совете?
5) С каких пор Талию "убили" фурии?
Продолжать можно долго, и я не стала бы обращать на всё это внимания, если бы в своё время "дрочеры первоисточника" не слили фильмы. А теперь все радуются вот этому вот? Вы серьезно? Ну прям точь в точь с книгами, ну точно.
Единственный лучик света - медуза. Она была шикарна.

Ну и я могу признать, что первый фильм неплохой, сцена в казино вообще отличная. Да и он достаточно хороший, раз смог привлечь немалое количество людей к первоисточнику (например меня)
Но второй - это же просто мешанина. Та есть забавные моменты, вроде шутки про "Светлячка" .
И почему Вы предъявляете людям ноющим про канон, а потом сами предъявляете сериалу за канон?

3 серия сериала - пока самая слабая, тут 0 вопросов.
Но первый две были достаточно неплохими, и для меня удивительно, что вы считаете что сериал все вылизывают, я заходил в тематическую группу по вселенной, и там в комментариях наоборот, большинство ругает сериал.
Да даже тут, большинство комментариев - негативные, плюс серии едва набирают оценку 4

Поясните кто-нибудь за канон. Я думал, действие происходит в мире, где все события греческой мифологии такие же как у нас, но являются правдой. Но Горгону же убил Персей, а тут она еще жива. Или Перси проходит своеобразный путь Персея? Хотя, наверное, некоторые мифы тут просто не происходили.

Буду оригинальна и скажу, что, как по мне, всё довольно живенько. Перси и Аннабет дерутся за первенство, но уже начинают притираться. Перси всё ещё потерян в новом мире, но начинает показывать свою находчивость и смелость. Аннабет подчеркнуто крута и умна, но, оказывается, у неё тоже есть слабости. Как по мне, эти черты героев показаны вполне канонично. Они оба лидеры, но именно из-за уважения друг к другу в итоге стали шикарной командой. В этой серии только самое-самое начало их взаимоотношений, и за этим приятно наблюдать. Ну а Гроувер - это Гроувер :)
Не понимаю, почему так много людей недовольны диалогами, как по мне, их не излишне много. И экшн в моем понятии - это не только воинственные крики и беготня с мечами наперевес. Да тут полсерии идет разборка с Медузой и всё это время наблюдаешь с эдаким триллерным напряжением. Ну чем не экшн?) Остальные диалоги раскрывают характеры и мотивы персонажей и формируют команду. Как по мне, это необходимая часть, и сериал её хорошо показал)

@AysenKaius: да уж, там была дикая история, изнасиловали, прокляли, убили, и даже после смерти не было покоя: отрубленной башкой туда-сюда махали, превращая злодеев в камень.
А тут как-то вывернули нелогично, я даже хмыкнула с этого "Посейдон признался мне в любви и Афина посчитала, что я опозорила ее" - мда уш, мда. Понятно, что сериал детский, но как-то изобразили так, что совершенно непонятно, что вообще произошло и почему она злится на Посейдона, раз у них там любовь была. Чуть ближе к канону можно было прописать, например "Посейдон добивался меня силой, я пыталась спрятаться от него в храме Афины, и после чего та обозлилась на меня, за то, что я осквернила ее храм".

Но вообще да, почитать мифологию - там все время красивые женщины страдали, а боги были похотливыми засранцами.

Как то быстро они справляются с опасными монстрами. Мне кажется не хватает боевых экшенов. Очень понравилось что сценаристы обратили внимание на печальную историю Медузы. По моему в фильме этого не показали. Насчет Богов, очень жду их появления. А Гровер булочка с корицей )
