Olympus is calling: the trailer for "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" has been released
17 Nov
28
The first two episodes will air on December 20.
Sally is the best mom x3 (nothing new here), Grover is a sweet bead, Percy with a bang (although Walker has a calm face and intonation). graphically, but what can I do :) a bunch of references, after which you sit and think "WHO IS SHE GOING TO GO TO FOR MAYONNAISE?", "IS THIS WHAT I SEE OR YES?"
the girls flew!!!! (Hello to the hunters, I'm sorry to the men)
The Minotaur seems to have turned out well, but it's a pity that it's in the dark almost all the time.
Actually, I haven't read the books, but I watched the movie once a long time ago, so I have some general idea about the storyline and the characters. But I think that the impression of this will not spoil, so far it is going well.
Incredible nonsense, even blacker than Chiron somehow, well, okay.
The titles are just beautiful
I really want to live to see Zoya and Bianca before the season..
And this is Percy's main motivator in the first book.
And I really hope that his relationship with water will also be shown as in the books, because with his power it will be epic to watch the series.
I feel warmly about the book series, but I read it once in my early childhood. I'm skeptical about the film, but something about it still caught on. The series seemed weak to me after the released episodes. Everything is somehow fast, crumpled even for children.
I'm thrilled!
I really liked the actor playing Percy. The boy is doing well, he believes it, I want to watch his emotions. In his bewilderment and awkwardness, I see a bookish Percy.
But everything else is so strangely filmed.. It's awkward to look at)))
I understand that the series was made for a children's/teen audience, but such series and films don't have to be cringe-worthy, ahaha
It seems to me that at least this film adaptation is already better than the films (even if judged by one episode), at most we will get a decent series. Time to place bets
He's not repulsive enough
Even now, the first 2 parts of Harry Potter are rated by the community below the rest of the Harry Potter films, but in general there are a lot of exceptions, talented children who played very cool, such as Freddie Highmore or Dakota Fanning, but again, this is a big exception.
And if you also know the psychology of a person, then in general you can completely fuck off from the simple fact that children and cats / dogs cause more sympathy in a person due to small and symmetrical facial features, large eyes and other unique childish features, which means that watching them, the viewer has much more emotions than if watching a 27-year-old man who plays a schoolboy.
The actors don't piss me off, it's good so far, although I haven't seen the black one yet and the actors haven't revealed themselves to the end, so the opinion may change quickly by the end
P. S.. A certain Steinbeck is listed as a producer... Does anyone know this is a descendant of the great writer J. Steinbeck?
I can't forgive them for Percy the blond ((((
At the moment, I like it, but we compare everything with a book
I am the person who read all 5 books about the adventures of Percy Jackson in my twenties, and quite recently. By the release of the series, so to speak. And I will be the same scribe who screams: "THE BOOK IS BETTER!!" And my complaint is not even about the choice of the cast of actors, and not even about their acting. There will be people to talk about it for me. I am very "burning" with the alteration of the plot of the book.
It is acceptable when you, as the creator, need to make a movie out of a book: cut out some moments, mount and fasten scenes from the original source, tamp down the plot due to the short timekeeping of the film. But when you have a TV series, why do you need to redo anything? Why change something that works anyway?! And it's okay if your version of a particular scene is better, okay even if it's just as good, but when almost any scene in the series is inferior to the original, you don't freely ask the question: why not just repeat the plot from the book identically. When you distort or modify something, you should not change the meaning of the scene, you should make an equivalent transition! It is necessary to treat the plot in detail, always asking the question: why did the author do it that way. You will fully understand the structure and concept of the work you have filmed, and then knowing for sure that you are not missing anything, changing one moment or another, you redo the scene in your own way! To be honest, due to the fact that this is a Disney film adaptation, mediocrity is felt in many ways. The conveyor of a monopolist company kills the soul of history. It seems to be clear that the work is done and, in general, the thing is watchable, but it feels as if I looked at a secondary product again that does not represent anything interesting. Returning to the reworked plot, I will say that in 4 episodes that I was able to watch, 2 high-quality twists were killed, and a moment of dialogue between Percy and Annabeth from book 4 was added, 4!! Despite the fact that the conversation about Athena and her "relationship with mortals" plays in book 4...
a black teacher and apparently a white beauty girlfriend were replaced by a dark-skinned one. God...
even the script is not thought out. A small kid who thought he was sick suddenly rushed to kill a minotaur, which is a couple of times bigger than a man, and even much more powerful. Yes, he is really stupid and sick in the head. Mom just burned up in front of my eyes.
Domestic violence was removed - another agenda.
We bet that at least one of the gods will be black. I'll bet you 1 ruble.
Apparently, the series is intended for children who are instilled equality and balance of skin colors in the world. I wouldn't be surprised if an LGBT representative shows up here.
What the fuck are they doing for a remake? The movie is much better...
