Dr. McKay turned from a perpetually unhappy, whining, envious Carter in SG-1, into a cheerful guy full of energy and joking about the difficulties in Atlantis. Apparently all he needed was to go to another galaxy.
@Paly4: Well, he was a smart guy in the past, but overly arrogant and unable to lose. And here he doesn't have to compete with anyone in terms of who is smarter.
