Eva Green has always aroused sympathy as an actress, but after this series, I can only admire BOO now. She's brilliant! It's incredibly nice to see such high-quality acting. In general, Eva was enough to rate the series by 5.
The series was exciting from the very beginning, but this series is just incredible. I won't be the first to say that Eva Green is a gorgeous actress. She performs her role on 5 with an infinite number of pluses. In general, the cast's acting is very, very good. And yet I'm not a big fan of this genre, especially with so much nudity and, I would say, dirt. The scene with the demon's appearance to Vanessa and the death of her mother was especially shocking. Of course, the horror is terrible. But the genre of "psychosexual horror" obliges, what can you do about it.
This series is just something like a little movie. There is everything from dirty betrayals to high feelings. Very interesting. The picture and the whole atmosphere are beautifully conveyed. Fire.
I can't help but admire Eva Green. She plays everything so smartly that she can't convey. You don't doubt her for a second, not a single phrase, not a single emotion. I started watching the series because of Eva, although the plot dragged on from the first episode. If we talk about this series, it turned out to be very interesting and dramatic. This is exactly what several previous series lacked. I can't imagine how Vanessa lives with all this. I felt very sorry for her after the series. And the ending is so sad, to match the story. Although there were creepy and unpleasant moments like when Vanessa let a demon into herself.
Eva is simply incomparable in this role, she seemed to get used to it from beginning to end. History stirs the blood and conquers the hearts in its own dirty, vulgar, and criminal way. Crazy emotions bordering on madness. The highest rating to the actress for these emotions ✨🌊
When Peter was shown at the beginning, it was sad to watch, in the "background" I remembered the words of the possessed Vanessa on behalf of Malcolm's son. And the series is wonderful!
Heavy series. How they combine this old-fashioned Victorian style (by the way, a very rich and pretentious vocabulary in the dialogues, if anyone is watching in the original) with a jaw-dropping tin is something incredible.
And Eve is, yes, godic - as all the commentators have already noted without me. ^_^
This series reveals Vanessa's character so much that it is impossible to underestimate her. And only the original fully conveys the atmosphere and gorgeous acting of Eva Green. All these dirty vulgar scenes seem to form a kind of highlight of the series. To remove them so -beautifully - (I can't find another word) is almost impossible. Maybe I'm the only one so sick, but I'm just drawn to such vulgarity ...)
Here everyone sings odes to Eva Green, as for me there is nothing special about her appearance, an ordinary woman, but an actress, yes, plays the role of a mystical psychopath so well that I'm scared to look at her 🙈 Her eyes are bulging out, a little inhibition and she's all a little wooden, vooot, that's who Mrs. Sophia Ernst Stutter was inspired by. Only, as usual, the copy came out much worse than the original. 🤷🏻♀️
Ah , that 's how she came to what is happening to her now , an interesting story happened . Eva Green is gorgeous, very emotional, strong. The scene where her mother died , hard , brrr ...
I'm into serial killers but the brain surgery scene made me feel VERY unsettling. Ewww.
"Will she die?" "If there is God."
And instead, Peter dies. This sweet & kind Peter. *deep sigh* It's horror that's supposed to scare you, they said. The jump-scares & the blood & the gore, they said. The real horror is that you get emotionally invested & feel deeply for them.
"You should have kissed me. Will you kiss me now?" This hurts A LOT.
Before Sir Malcolm said that Vanessa is the daughter he deserves, I thought they're gonna have an affair at some way. The fact that the darkness had his body, she was fucking him. And all the letters. Very curious.
"Go to your Roman church, you'll find none [forgiveness] here." And then he cares for her in the present. Puts a blanket over her when she sleeps.
"I love you in a different way. I love you enough to kill you." I mean, that was a very long love letter to your childhood friend with whom you're in love with. Cuddling at night and that kiss on the cheek. Seriously, Vanessa is bisexual.
Great episode. I felt it all. Eva's acting is incredible.
The beginning turned out to be not much not clear.
One of the best at the moment.
