House of Horrors 1. In this first episode of the annual Halloween series, the Simpsons enter a haunted house, go into space and read creepy classic literature. In the first part, the family finds themselves in a house that tries to force them to cut each other. In the second part, Kang and Kodos (space aliens) take the Simpsons to their spaceship, where they entertain and fatten them. In the third part, Lisa reads to Bart the terrible poem "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe. Guest Star: James Earl Jones as Narrator
I really liked the series. It's so atmospheric and warm at the same time, even though I didn't watch it on Halloween. And Homer is me for every Halloween after horror stories:")
The first story is the most interesting. They fucked up all these unfinished buildings with cursed houses.
The second one with aliens is funny in episodes. The moments with raising Homer on a plate and blowing the dust off the title of the book are the best. And so, he's more of a cute episode.
The third story is rather not scary and funny, but stylistically refined. It's interesting to watch purely because of the background, well, Bart in the form of a raven is nothing like that. Anyway, it seems to me that it could have been more interesting to do, imho.
as for me, for the Simpsons, Part 3 by Edgar Poe came out very aesthetic, sustained and atmospheric , I often review this episode mostly because of this scene
In the first episode, funny inscriptions on the graves of an Indian cemetery. Well, for some reason I never thought that the image of Nicholson from the Shining Homer cosplayed twice in different Halloween haste. But the third, of course, yes. The verse is not bad (although in general I agree with Bart's assessment). But the funny thing is, for some reason I associate Homer in a bathrobe with illustrations in some long-lost children's book. Every time I see it, I try to Google it and every time I don't find it. It seems there was something about the Mongols (???) and it was an anthology and there were poems by Yunna Moritz. What in general? But as a child, I remember really liked them and that's why Homer looks just like him in this robe.
And yes, there are still no "funny" nicknames in the credits, but it is described in detail who worked on which episode.
