It ended strangely. Well, you caught him in the woods with a parachute... And what? There are no witnesses. It is not provable at all. His confession is the only hope. Even though Columbo believes that he himself would have confessed sooner or later, in my opinion, he is still a scoundrel. No matter how he confessed, he likes a free life without a tyrannical wife too much.

@xanti: In this series, many episodes end the same way. Well, Columbo showed something, but if you think about it, it will all be far-fetched for the court. And anyway, nowhere is it shown that someone was imprisoned. Arrested, yes, but arrest does not mean guilt :)

@kass: I started referring to the series with the idea that it was important for Colombo to prove to himself that he had found the culprit, and not to put him away. And it became easier to watch the finals

It was so nice to see Johnny Cash. Alive, real. The series is not a masterpiece. but how beautifully the characters and, most importantly, the unique style of country music played!!!! One of my favorite episodes!!!

There is some kind of warm aftertaste from the series - like from "Old Port".
Perhaps it's the music, perhaps it's the fact that Cash coped with his role perfectly and even managed not to outshine everyone else. I don't know. It feels good somehow.

I cannot condemn the murderer in this episode. It's not such a bad thing.
