Description
After a violent storm, a dense cloud of mist envelops a small Maine town, trapping artist David Drayton and his five-year-old son in a local grocery store with other people. They soon discover that the mist conceals deadly horrors that threaten their lives, and worse, their sanity.
I watched a movie 15(! Carl!) years ago and I still remember the effect of the ending. Which makes the original story just dry.
The whole farting dad who wanted so much to save his son and the people in the car didn't even give them a chance. I could have stayed in the store after Carmody's murder, and no one would have touched them, I'm sure. I felt so sorry for that old man with the mustache...
and even in the car, why did he start shooting right there? Yes, he promised his son not to give it to the monsters, but excuse me - did someone attack them? Well, they roar in the distance, so the heroes are in the car. There were a lot of cars on the road, were they being beaten by monsters? Yes, no one even attacked the one driving. You sit quietly, don't yell, don't bliss, don't squeal, don't shine a flashlight on the windows, as you love, and no one will touch you...
The ending would be scary, bitter and tragic if they showed us how they lived in a car for a week, opening the window to fart, dividing the dried-up candy and drank their own urine. It would be a drama. And so stupidity. They gave the moron a gun. It takes two minutes from the shots to the rescue... Epic, really. Maybe I just don't like the hero...
Well, how can you not appreciate the ending?
The film is my homage.
