Considering the year of release and the youth of then-Alfred Hitchcock, no doubt a brilliant director, it turned out to be a very good film. At that time, he was probably considered quite exciting.

Yes, by today's standards, the tie looks rather far-fetched. However, the plot is still famously twisted. Absolutely everything goes wrong and I was wondering how the hero would get out. Despite the word "thriller", this film is more of a comedy, and hilarious. I definitely like Hitchcock's sense of humor.
